Here we go again! The Department of Labor has released the April 2012 jobs report, showing only 115,000 jobs created last month, well below the ′expected′ increase of 170,000. Yet, as usual, the Barack Obama administration has fiddled with the numbers enough to claim that the national average unemployment rate has dropped to 8.1%. Earlier this week, we had more bad economic news in practically every sector of the economy, with housing down, manufacturing down, durable goods sales down and the worst start-up rate for new companies in two years. So what is Obama′s excuse THIS time?
According to the Associated Press, a recent survey of some 32 economists leads them to predict that the unemployment rate will be below 8% by November, just in time for Obama to claim success and boost his chances for reelection. But, of course, we all know that this is a total fabrication.
Yes, we see this every month. Despite pathetic job creation numbers, the Labor Department keeps downsizing the labor force pool enough to make it appear as though the unemployment rate is declining. In fact, if one factors in what the size of the labor pool was when Obama took office, the actual unemployment rate would be about 11%. Add on the ′under-employed′ and you get closer to 20% of adult Americans are seeking jobs or better jobs. Not exactly a record an honest president could get reelected on.
But then, we do not have an honest president in the White House, do we? No! We have Barack Hussein Obama, a composite president, a president of compression. He gets ahead by compressing his numbers, his qualifications. The ambiguous Obama is clueless about the economy. Sure, he likes to blame George W. Bush but if you caught the recent ′Frontline′ episodes on PBS, titled ′Money, Power and Wall Street′, you would have seen that at the crucial moment when a decision had to be made, it was Obama, not Bush, who bullied his way in and ran the special meeting at the White House. Bush even leaned towards Nancy Pelosi and whispered, ″You guys are gonna miss me!″ We certainly do, President Bush-43, we certainly do!

I don’t know much about how they figure out the unemployment rate so maybe someone can tell me if this theory is plausible.
A few months ago Congress voted to cut the length that a person can receive unemployment benefits from 99 weeks to 79 weeks. The Democrats happily went along.
It was my gut feeling that this was done to drop more people off the roles quicker as the election neared so to drive down the unemployment number. Is this possible??

Geo. W. Bush was by far and away the worst President in history. He turned a surplus into a trillions dollar deficit, he attacked the wrong county, wasting thousands of American and tens of thousands of civilian lives, he sat idly by confused while an entire American major city drowned. And that’s just a few of the high points.
No matter how much you hate Obama, at least we got some people who can maybe function if there is a crisis, some people who are not going to fly off the handle and start some terrible war just for the halibut. I feel much, much better with Obama in the White House. Bush was a nightmare.

Now what makes you think anyone would conjure up such diabolic dynamics ?
According to chief dickhead this morning this morning we learned that our economy(his economy) created 139,000 private sector jobs in April, and the unemployment rate ticked down again.
So, after the worst economic crisis since the great depression(i thought this was it ?) ,our businesses have created more than 4.2 million new jobs over the last 26 months.
If hes gonna keep his promise he’d better double that figure without forgetting little less than half of us ran outta benefits or just gave up looking for work or started selling weed on campus.
Just fckin leave already, would you ?
You need at least 200.500 a month just to keep pace.
I’m no genius, but I passed 5th grade math

According to Economist Peter Morici of the University of Maryland, about 80% of the decline in the unemployment rate since its high point in the summer of 2010 is directly due to Obama shrinking the labor pool.
Just since last month, Obama’s Labor Dept. slashed another 1 million people from the labor pool, which allowed them to lie about the unemployment rate falling from 8.2% to 8.1%.
All in all, some 88 MILLION American adults under the age of 65 are not considered part of the available U.S. labor pool. Obama may as well just wipe the slate clean so he can lie about eliminating unemployment altogether!

Ah, Klo, at least you behaved yourself enough not to just make some ‘mom joke’.
GW Bush did not drown anybody, that was the Democrat mayor of New Orleans and the Democrat governor of Louisiana who stood by and failed to evacuate citizens from danger. Remember all those flooded school buses???
As for the rest of your criticism, it can easily be dismissed as well. Bush did not attack the wrong country, he did attack Afghanistan first. Iraq was making every appearance of trying to build WMDs. Not to mention still violating the 30-odd UN terms of the cease fire.
Obama will be long remembered as the worst president in US history. Especially if he is reelected since the nation is doomed thanks to his policies.

That photo you selected really shows the stature that this president has in the eyes of the world. What an enormous price we have paid to elect a novelty to the highest office in the land.

Yes, Patrick, Obama looks puny in the photo.
Micky, GW did call Gov. Mary Landreaux (sp?) the day before to let her know that he was already deploying National Guard and such, but she refused to let them help in the evacuations. As a result of HER decision, the disaster response units were far north of the coastline and took several days to reach New Orleans due to roads and bridges damaged by Katrina.
