George Allen is running as the Republican candidate for Virginia senator. He has been married to his wife, Susan, for 25 years. They have three children, Tyler, Forrest, and Brooke. Allen was raised in Virginia; her father was a professor, her mother was a docent at the James Monroe Home and Museum, Ash Lawn.
She met her husband when he was running in his initial successful election campaign for Virginia House of Delegates. She is his second wife. Throughout their marriage, she has raised her children and helped her husband’s career. She is very active in the current campaign, going across the state to urge voters to support him in his race. One of the venues that she is using most often is termed ‘Politics on the Porch’. In these events, she meets with about a dozen women supporters, discusses issues with them, and finds out what issues impact them the most.
Although she has actively campaigned for her husband throughout their marriage, she has little interest in running for public office herself. She said that George told her that politicians must have a sense of humor and a thick skin. She said that she is working on developing the thick skin part of it.

If the folks in VA were just voting for senator based on how hot a wife the candidate has, George Allen would be a shoe-in!

This is the second post you’ve done in a row about how “hot” a candidate’s wife is.
I wonder if George Allen will call anyone a “macaca” in this race as he did last time.

Me, I might be wrong, but where did I write that she was hot, or not hot?

Me has a liberal’s very interesting reaction to this piece. They see everything thru the lens of sex. WTF?
For my part, she looks like anyone’s mom. Not hot, and not not.

I was writing to Andy Z.

All I said was that if the voters in Virginia were basing their vote on a candidate’s wife, Allen would win.

She makes macaca twitch!!!

Hmm internet terminology has sent Me astray.
“Post” refers to an article on the net, such as the one above.
“Comment” refers to, well, a comment on a post.

LOL, Patrick! ‘Me’ thinks his comments ARE posts! They certainly are long enough. He’s usually good for 300-500 word comments. Liberals always over-compensate for that which they lack and over-complicate to prove how ’smart’ they are.

Well, as long as we are on the subject, what is a ‘tread’ and what is a ‘board’, in internet lingo ?

1. If the folks in VA were just voting for senator based on how hot a wife the candidate has, George Allen would be a shoe-in!
2. Why do Democrats have such ugly wives?
Hmm internet terminology has sent Me astray.
Trust me, Pat, I’ve been using the Internet a lot longer than you have. I didn’t get “thrown” by the terminology.
Oh, and give the Internet the respect it deserves with some capitalization.
Don’t mean to nitpick.

The way I understand it, a post is a comment about an article as in, “I posted a comment on the Susan Allen article.”
“Well, as long as we are on the subject, what is a ‘tread’ and what is a ‘board’, in internet lingo?”
Again, as I understand it, a tread (I think it may be thread) are all the posts on a particular article.
