Tim Kaine is running as the Democratic candidate for Senator from Virginia. His wife of 28 years is Anne Holton. She was born in 1958; her father is A. Linwood Holton, Jr., who was Virginia Governor from 1970 to 1974.
Holton went to Princeton for her undergraduate education; after receiving her degree there, she graduated from Harvard Law School. She earned her law degree in 1983. The following year she married Tim Kaine. They have three children, Nat, Woody, and Annella.
After they were married, Holton became a law clerk for the US District Court in Richmond. She did that for three years and then was employed as an attorney for the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society. In 1998, she was appointed to be Judge for the Richmond Domestic Relations Court. She resigned from that office when her husband ran for governor in 2005. While First Lady, she worked to improve foster care for older kids. She currently works as a child welfare consultant for a number of states.
An interesting piece of trivia is that Anne Holton is the second woman to be both a child of a governor and First Lady of the state.
Here is an interview conducted with her:

Why do Democrats have such ugly wives? Must be because they all cheat anyway, so it doesn’t matter to them.

Stay classy, RP.
Better to be ugly on the outside than ugly on the inside.

Yes, ‘Me’, we are really classy. Just like John Edwards, Mr. Class himself. The man who Democrats selected to be their vice president in 2004. The man who Democrats considered to be president in 2008. A simply wonderful man who loved his wife and was ever so faithful and attentive to her in her hour of need.
OH…., WAIT….!!! John Edwards is the classic Liberal political husband. Use his wife and children to get votes while he sleeps around with anything in high heels!
Now there’s class fer ya!

I’ll give her credit for one thing, at least she didn’t take her husband’s name. I guess she doesn’t want people to know she married such a fool.
