Much ado has been made the past few weeks about the lavish parties thrown by the GSA, costing U.S. taxpayers millions of dollars in wasteful spending. Judicial Watch has been reviewing documents from the White House and U.S. Air Force and has determined that First Lady Michelle Obama travel costs the taxpayers over $400,000 every time she flies somewhere. Based on data from her vacation trips to Spain and South Africa, we see a pattern emerging. One of an imperial presidency with little or no regard for the suffering being imposed upon the American people.

The Obama administration has been living the high life the past 3 years, throwing lavish parties on a regular basis. Flying in fresh Kobe beef steaks from Japan, or a particular pizza chef from St. Louis. During the first year, the Obama hospitality was in full swing with dinners every Wednesday for their friends in the news media. Everyday is just one big party.

Meanwhile, 15 million Americans are chronically unemployed. Millions face home foreclosures and the entire nation faces Tax-ageddon come January 2013 thanks to the lack of legislative skill by Obama. We have no federal budget, so it is easy to hide any expenses from the public eye. Barack Obama himself has been busy using his travel advantages to campaign, pretending to be ′doing the nation′s business′ as he flies from fund raiser to fund raiser.

Bad enough that Obama wants to destroy America and our economy. His appointee, Al Armendariz, the EPA Region 6 administrator, admits that the Obama administration policy is to ″crucify″ the oil and natural gas industries. Billions of dollars are wasted on pie-in-the-sky ′green energy′ schemes, usually to companies owned by Obama contributors. The number of oil and gas drilling leases on federal lands have fallen by a third since Obama took office. His answer to energy independence is to make fuel from algae and spinach.

This total disregard for the nation is alarming. That we taxpayers are forced to fund the extravagant life style that Barack and Michelle Obama enjoy, including travel costs that average about $400,000 for every round trip his wife takes is proof that real change is needed. Joe Biden says that Obama has a big stick. Well, we′re paying for it, Joe, as well as for his wife′s big taste for the finer things in life. Come November, she and Barack will take a nice long vacation.
