In the midst of their own Secret Service scandal, the agency which protects Barack Obama is now investigating Ted Nugent for an alleged threat he may have made. The hard-rocker Ted Nugent, who is backing Mitt Romney for president, made his controversial remarks to a gathering at the National Rifle Association convention in St. Louis. Appearing on The Glenn Beck radio show, Nugent told Beck that he is scheduled to meet with the Secret Service on Thursday and does not expect any problems. The remark that caused the uproar is his stating that ″if Barack Obama becomes president in November, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.″ Nugent said this to the audience at the NRA function after describing the Obama administration as ″vile, evil, American-hating.″

While his comments may be over the top, Ted Nugent in no way meant to threaten Barack Obama. But, needless to say, the Secret Service does have a job to do and they will question him. Some legal experts have already determined that Nugent′s remarks do not violate any laws. However, while the rock guitarist himself may be a peace-loving man, many people are concerned that such rhetoric could inspire someone less stable to act on his behalf. According to the Department of Justice statistics, about 75% of all actual threats the Secret Service receives are from the mentally ill. Reports that such threats have increased from an average of 400 to 3,000 per year since Obama succeeded George W. Bush.

So, regardless of the severity, the Secret Service is required under the law to investigate any and all threats. On Thursday, they will meet with Ted Nugent concerning an alleged threat to Barack Obama he may have made. The rocker Ted Nugent, who is supporting Mitt Romney for president, made his controversial remarks during an event held by the National Rifle Association this past weekend in St. Louis. Nugent is not worried about being interviewed by the Secret Service, who are undergoing their own scandal investigation of hiring prostitutes while in Colombia. Nugent told Glenn Beck that he does not expect anything to come from his remarks about Obama. Watch the video below, especially if you like blondes with large breasts!
