Elizabeth Warren is challenging incumbent Scott Brown in the race for Massachusetts Senator this fall. Before joining the Obama Administration as chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel for TARP, she was a law professor at Harvard. Her husband, Bruce Mann, is also a law professor at Harvard.
Compared to his wife, Mann spends most of his time concerned with academia. His area of expertise is American legal history from 1600 – 1820. He has published a number of books and articles on this subject and is recognized as one of its leading authorities. He rarely seems to enter the public arena though in support of his wife’s campaign. I could find very few pictures of him, and no videos of him appearing with Warren at campaign events.
Mann was born and raised in Boston. I can’t find any details about his age, but I’d guess that he’s about the same age as his wife (62), since he received his bachelor’s degree from Brown University in 1972.Probably his most famous book is Republic of Debtors, published in 2002, which won a number of prizes from both Historical and Legal societies.
The couple was married in 1980, following Warren’s divorce two years earlier from her first husband, Jim Warren, who was her high school boyfriend. Warren has two children from her first marriage and three grandchildren. They live with their golden retriever, Otis.

I hate to be so trivial, but there is something about this woman’s Moon-Mug that drives me nuts.
