Scott Brown, the junior Senator from Massachusetts, was elected to fill the unexpired term of Teddy Kennedy, early in 2010. Until that campaign, however, he was less well known than his wife, Gail Huff. Ms. Huff is currently a television reporter for WJLA-TV in Washington, DC. Prior to the Senate election, she was a reporter for WCVB-TV in Boston (see video).

Ms. Huff is about 50 years old and was born in Waltham, Massachusetts. She first achieved some measure of fame when she starred in a music video, The Girl with the Curious Hand (see video). Shortly after, she began working as a reporter in Greenville, North Carolina. After a few years there, she returned to New England, with jobs in Rhode Island and Connecticut. In 1993, she began working at WCVB.

Ms. Huff graduated from Bently College and is active in a number of charities, including the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Stroke Association, and the Horace Mann Education Association. She and Senator Brown are the parents of two daughters, Ayla and Arianna. Ayla achieved some measure of fame by being one of the finalists on American Idol and is now a special contributor to The CBS Early Show. Arianna is a pre-med student at Syracuse University.
