FBI Director James Comey appeared before the House Intelligence Oversight Committee, along with NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers. For some 5 hours, they testified before Congress, saying very little in the public forum. They had few facts to offer as most of the questions revolve around classified material and ongoing investigations. However, we did learn a couple of things. First, there is an ongoing probe into possible links between the Trump campaign, including some former staff members and some individuals who were never part of the campaign, with the Russian government. Secondly, Comey, himself, said that most of the leaked information that has been appearing in various news reports is ″dead wrong″. He also stated that neither the FBI nor the Justice Department had any evidence of the Obama administration ordering surveillance on Donald Trump. Of course, he could not comment if any member of Team Trump was recorded resulting from surveillance on foreign nationals by other spy agencies, which seems to be the case for Michael Flynn.
