The Michigan Department of Human Services, acting very much like a department of inhuman services, issued a warning to Lisa Snyder for watching three fellow mom’s kids before school. They say that if Mrs. Snyder continues to take the neighborhood kids in before school, she’ll be violating the same law as unlicensed daycare providers.

No this isn’t a fictitious story; although with liberal lunacy and bureaucracy, fiction and reality are getting harder and harder to determine. Lisa Snyder, a 35 year old mother of a first grader, helps her neighbors out in the mornings before school by watching the kids until the bus comes.

Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather had his lawsuit against his old employer thrown out today by an appeals court in New York. Rather was suing CBS for breach of contract after the 2004 fiasco in which Dan Rather reported an untrue story about George W. Bush based on false documents.

Dan Rather never at a loss for the dramatic, quit the CBS evening news in May of 2005. He continued reporting for 60 minutes until finally being terminated completely. Although Rather sued for breach of contract, CBS continued to pay Danny boy about $6 million dollars a year until June 2006.

About a month ago many of you might remember Ben Bernanke being widely quoted as saying that the economy is well on the way to recovery. I scratched my head at this because it made almost no sense to me at all then. Unemployment is still at 9.7% with no expected dip in those numbers any time soon. Outside of a small blip in auto sales thanks to an artificial government program that probably ruined demand for the next 6 months at least, durable goods orders are down. The real estate market is still in shambles and no where close to recovering from the devastating hit it has taken. So, why in the world would the Fed chairman say something like this.

Then today I read this story and it was all crystal clear to me; they are just preparing us for large interest rate raises because they are freaking out about large scale inflation which is heading directly for us. Notice in this article that Fed Reserve member Richard Fisher says:

“I expect that when it comes time to tighten monetary policy, my colleagues and I will move with an alacrity that, if needed, will be equal in speed and intensity.”

and

Charles Plosser, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and also a hawk against inflation, waded into the debate in a speech Tuesday in Easton, Pa., saying the Fed may need to act “well before” unemployment — now at a 26-year high of 9.7 percent — returns to normal. The Fed, he said, will need to be on guard “to prevent the Second Great Inflation.”

Given that Barry Obama was elected President last November and took the oath of office in January, I have to wonder when he will start acting like the President. He is on television everyday talking about some solution in search of a crisis. He travels the world campaigning for the un-official office of World President. When will Mr. Obama become president? The answer is never because of his ego. It is larger than he is and gets in the way. He lack the humility it takes to be president.

Last week he took the spotlight at both the U.N. and the G20 Summit. This is a man consumed with himself. He wants to the first at everything. Yet in all his months in office, he has failed to show any leadership. He did not condemn Iran for its nuclear program until the a second secret site was revealed. Nor did he speak out against the ramblings of Omar Kadafi’s speech to the U. N. But then again Kadafi did say, “We are content and happy if Obama can stay forever President of America”. And so would Obama and that may be his goal.

Barry H. Obama. All Ego and no Humility.

Obama is good at one thing. Talking and campaigning. He can fire up his base with talk about fixing first one thing and then another. And he does it without a plan or an idea how to fix anything. He is clearly performing his duties as president in the mode of community organizer. Otherwise he would have actually accomplished something in the last nine months other then be on television every day.

Today we might see a little blue on blue violence, we’ll hope at least. Today the Senate Finance Committee is meeting to mark-up or debate and vote on the health-care bill. Specifically whether or not to add a so-called public option to Obamacare. You can watch the live debate below.

Currently the public plan is not expected to get a majority of the Committee’s support. If it somehow does, then we’re all in trouble. However, likely, this will be a good chance to see the moderate Democrats take a swipe at this and maybe the awful leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi at the same time. In fact the Chairman of the committee, Max Baucus, is said to be “luke-warm” if not actually hostile to the public option. The obvious reason for this is that Montana is strongly against the public option, as are 59% of all American’s now.

Sarah’s book is called “Going Rogue: An American Life” and will be released on November 17th which is months earlier then anticipated. After Governor Sarah Palin resigned from office on July 26th, she, her husband Todd and their children left Alaska for San Diego to work with her book’s co-writer, Lynn Vincent, for several weeks. I suppose they really got down to business because the draft of Sarah Palin’s book, called “Going Rogue: An American Life”, was finished in advance and is now in the editing/fact check stage. Her publisher, HarperCollins, has decided to release Sarah Palin’s 400-page memoir on November 17th just in time for the holiday buying season, instead of spring when it was originally scheduled.

For the first time ever, a U.S. President will get involved in lobbying for a city to host the Olympics. Barack Obama will now go to Copenhagen, Denmark to pitch Chicago to the International Olympic Committee.

Not as if the President didn’t have enough to do, nightly appearances on Jay Leno, Letterman and other assorted comedic endeavors. Now the Commander and Chief wants to personally lobby for his hometown of Chicago, Illinois to host the 2016 Olympic Games.
