There seems to be a dearth of information about the Global War on Terrorism these days. The Battle of Iraq is not being reported on. With so little news coming out of Iraq, its time to go looking to see what news we can find. Read about it below and see photos and a video.

During the most deadly periods of the Battle of Iraq it was on the news every night. My son happened to be doing a tour of duty there, in one of the deadliest areas of Baghdad, during that period of time. He was there for fifteen months and so I paid obsessive attention to what was on the news and what was happening there. That’s when I started understanding on a very personal level the discrepancy between what was reported on the American news and what was actually happening.

What I hated most was the body counts. There were nightly body counts that seemed to be done with glee thinly masked with feigned concern. You see, the point was, it was proof for the left that ‘Bush’s War’ was not working. The left had managed to undermine and lose the war in Vietnam that way. Now they were using the same methods to undermine our troops and lose this war.

One would think that the left wanted America to lose this war. I suppose if you asked them, they’d say that of course they don’t want America to lose a war. But losing the war is a way for them to get power. If they can convince the public that this is a war waged by Bush for personal gain and that it is without cause, then it increases their changes of regaining the White House and power. If that means losing the war, well, I guess that’s what it means. You know, kinda like convincing people that the economy is going down the toilet or doing whatever they can to cause banks to fail. Economic bad times generally means the party that is not in power will win. Its all about politics and its all about power. To hell with the best interest of the country, much less the people.

Which explains the lack of news reports on Iraq. No bad news equals no news.

A High School in Gonzales,Texas has a unique way of teaching your teen the dress code. This has, of course, caused an uproar. Read about the controversy and see a photo of the dress code solution below.

I have a feeling this is gonna get interesting quite fast. I predict bazillion dollar lawsuits from the parental units the very split second one of their perfect and entitled teens has their widdle feelers hurt.

The school district, in what will be a futile, yet admirable attempt at keeping conservative values intact, has decided that students violating the school dress codes will have to wear jumpsuit for a day. The jumpsuit is similar to what is worn in jails but blue in color.

Prior to this, when student’s disobeyed, they had to sit in the office until the parent’s brought them proper attire, or face in-school suspension.

Some of the brilliant teens at the school have informed the district that their plan will backfire … they will willingly break the dress code just to wear the jumpsuit. How precious is that! And soooo unexpected!!!

Some parent’s are already complaining that this enforcement of the rules will make their child feel like a prisoner. Well golly gee whiz! Who’da thunk that allowing your teen to be a miscreant might have a negative affect on them?

You may have noticed that our nation has the majority of the most spoiled (all the easier to ignore them that way) and demanding children in the world. Parental units know little about actually parenting a child in this hysterical and over liberal atmosphere we reside in. They can’t be bothered teaching manners, education, morals, common decency and good citizenship.

Parent’s cannot be bothered teaching their children that not only are there rules, there’s also valid reasons behind those rules. There’s consequences when the rules are broken, and they apply equally to all.

The walls are coming down around John Edwards. Considered on the short-list as Barack Obama’s Vice-President, amid allegations that Edwards has an affair and a baby with a mistress, now there are allegations of hush money being paid to keep her quiet.

A whole lot of hush money according to the National Enquirer which apparently is the only newspaper left in America which can afford investigative journalists. They say that an Edwards’ backer has been paying Rielle Hunter to keep quiet about John Junior, whose actual name is reported as Frances Quinn Hunter. They have implicated Andrew Young in the scheme by reporting that the same financial backer is paying sums of money to Young.

Ms. Hunter is the woman whom the Enquirer says Edwards was visiting in a hotel room last week. She reportedly had his baby last year. Meanwhile his faithful wife Elizabeth Edwards continues to battle breast cancer.

Ms. Hunter and Mr. Young have both indicated that the baby is a product of a relationship between them rather than John Edwards. That should have put the rumors away but new revelations from the paper continue to dog him.

Lest we be confused, the payment of hush money is not technically bribery according to our faithful companion, the on-line dictionary. Bribery is a payment made to a public official in exchange for an official action. Political bribery is what Tony Resko was convicted of doing, the Chicago felon who gave Barack Obama land next to his home. Hush money is a payment to someone for keeping quiet, which is usually legal and sometimes politically smart.

Until you get caught. Edwards career as a politician is finished unless he can explain away these persistent rumors. And to think that Barack Obama was rumored to be a hair away from selecting Edwards as a VP running mate. Where is the judgment?

The Palm Beach Post is reporting that the often fiery Robert Wexler, US Rep FL is not really a Florida resident.

Acknowledging that accusations that he doesn’t really live in Florida are raising “concerns” among his constituents, Democratic U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler said Tuesday that he will begin leasing an apartment in his congressional district rather than continue to claim residency at his in-laws’ home near Delray Beach.

Wexler made the announcement on the same day that his two challengers produced records showing Wexler received property tax breaks by declaring his house in Potomac, Md., a “primary residence” from 1999 to 2002. He also signed a loan document with his wife in 2005 describing the house as “my/our principal residence.”…

So, the guy obviously lives in Maryland with his wife and kids, and probably makes a trip down to Florida a few times a year to get donations and look good in front of the constituents. I mean, I thought that Hillary Clinton’s form of carpetbagging was bad, but this really does take the cake. You have to be a real A-hole, an arrogant SOB, or a liberal (same diff) to pull something like this off.

The good news for you Floridians is that Wexler has graciously agreed to rent an apartment in his congressional district (essentially acknowleding his guilt). Imagine that, actually owning a residence in the district that you represent, how novel.

So, the question is, does this matter in his re-election bid, or does the fact that he is now renting an apartment make it all better? Normally, perpetrating such a fraud might be considered an ethics problem. My guess is that this probably isn’t enough to make a difference to most liberals, but one would think that when it comes to ethics, party affiliation should be damned. Sen. Stevens is actually a good example of this. Being associated with the same part as Stevens, I still think the guy should be booted out of office, at the very least he is an arrogant pork-barreller, at the most he inappropropriately took gifts when he should not have (although Obama did the same in the form of a dirt-cheap deal on his house in Chicago from Rezko). I never see liberals condemn their own, even when it is clear he is guilty. In fact, in many ways having something like this on the resume is a badge of honor for libs (I mean, who hasn’t got a smoker in the Oval Office, everyone does it).

I really hope Floridians take this as an opportunity to clean up “the most ethical congress ever.” The only problem is, Republicans seem to be dead set on running people who couldn’t win dog-catcher this year. Oy vey!

The Republican Movement in New Zealand has announced its top ten candidates to be the first President of New Zealand. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa is on the list. Current members of the Parliament and Queen Elizabeth II (the current head of state for New Zealand) are not eligible.

Others on the top ten list are: James Belich, Jim Bolger, Sir Douglas Graham, Sir Robert Jones, Sir Kenneth Keith, Don McKinnon, Claudia Orange, Vincent O’Sullivan and Sir Wilson Whineray.

This is a mock election promoted by the Republican Movement in New Zealand. Their website states that their hope is to promote debate as to whether or not New Zealand should have their own head-of-state. In the meantime, the position that is being promoted currently is that of a figurehead.

Claire Mary Teresa Rawstron (Te Kanawa) was born on March 6, 1944 in Gisborne, New Zealand. She was adopted in infancy. She is believed to be of M�?ori and European ancestry, though little is known of her biological parents. Her adoptive mother was Irish and her adoptive father was M�?ori.

She became a pop star in New Zealand during her teens and early twenties. She moved to London in 1966 when she received a grant to study there.

She was created Dame Commander of The Order of the British Empire in 1982. She was invested as an Honorary Companion of the Order of Australia in 1990 and awarded the Order of New Zealand in the 1995 Queen’s Birthday Honors List. She has received honorary degrees from numerous universities in Great Britain and throughout the world.

She founded the Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation that manages a trust to assist talented New Zealand musicians and singers.

Her operatic career has been outstanding by any standards. She has performed in the greatest operas in opera houses throughout the world. In 1981 she sang at the wedding of HRH Prince Charles to Diana Spencer at St. Paul’s Cathedral. There was an audience of an estimated 600 million people worldwide. She sang her last American concert with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at Ravinia Park on July 19, 2008.

She married Desmond Park in 1968. The couple adopted two children, Antonia was born in 1976 and Thomas was born in 1979. Kiri and Desmond divorced in the 1990s.

Three-time Grammy Award-winning American rapper and Obama favorite, Ludacris, has released an Obama love song, Politics: Obama Is Here. Read about it below and see lyrics and the video ….

Ludacris has released a new song in support of his favorite presidential hopeful, Barack Obama. Obama has said before that Ludacris is one of his favorite rappers and has him on heavy rotation on his iPod. He has said he likes Ludacris’ ‘artistry’. The two met one time and discussed family values and being a good role model. You know, like calling women bitch and pretty much every one the ‘n’ word.

Now, the presidential hopeful has a new fav song to put on his iPod. Its about change. Hope. And Hillary being a b*tch. He says since she ‘hated on Obama’ that she’s ‘irrelevant’. Honestly, I was impressed he knew ‘irrelevant’. He gets even more artistic than that. He calls for McCain to be paralyzed and called Bush ‘mentally handicapped’.

Sooooo …. Hillary’s campaign immediately responded. Her former national finance co-chair, Yashar Hedayat said ….

“I hope Senator Obama has the presence of mind to denounce and distance himself from Ludacris,” Hedayat wrote in an email to the Huffington Post. “In May, when Father Pfleger made those horrible remarks about Senator Clinton at Trinity United, Senator Obama didn’t do much to defend her and John McCain was the first to rush to her defense.”

See? He not only denounced it. He then reminded everyone that Obama’s response to the whole Father Pfleger thing was weak at best and then went on to praise Senator McCain for coming to Hillary’s defense. That response speaks volumes as to what the Hillary people think of Obama.

These kinds of misogynistic attacks on Hillary just play right into her argument that sexism was a factor in the democratic party deciding to give the nomination to Barack instead of her. LORD she HAS to be LOVING this kind of thing. Remember, she suspended her campaign. She isn’t really completely out of the game.

I don’t know, I’m not feeling the love here. Just not feeling the love.

No word yet on who Obama has chosen to be Minister of Music in his Administration. He might could appoint one as the Minister of Music and the other as his senior speech writer. We will keep you informed as the drama unfolds.
