Hillary ahead of Obama in North Carolina

Well, Sean Hannity just revealed that Hillary Clinton has surged ahead of Obama in North Carolina in an Insider Advantage Poll. This poll will be released tomorrow, May 1, 2008. Here are the results:

PRESIDENT – NORTH CAROLINA – D – PRIMARY

Hillary Clinton – 44%

Barack Obama – 42%

You can read about this poll here from Dave Wissing’s site, our friend.

I will like to see additional polling to verify whether Hillary has in fact taken the lead. However, it would not surprise me in the least if she is ahead of Obama in North Carolina. I think thanks can be given to the Wright Scandal.

Why has the Mighty Obama fallen so fast?

Haifa Wehbe is Too Hot for Lebanon!

Haifa Wehbe is an Lebanese entertainer. Bahraini members of Parliament are trying to shut down her show claiming it is too provocative. Read about her and see photos and a video of her below.

You might be able to tell from her photos that Haifa Wehbe is not your average muslim. That, of course, is part of the problem. She has long irritated those trying to impose sha’ia law and modesty in the Middle East, yet she just keeps on going. She is under fire again as members of the Bahraini Parliament are attempting to get her banned. In particular, they don’t want her performing in a Labor Day concert that was to be held today.

“I am a performer and not a politician,” Haifa said. “I will leave politics for the politicians and let our (Lebanese) President talk politics.”

Someone forgot to tell Haifa that Lebanon remains plagued by crisis, and has been without a president for over six months.

“I have received a lot of love from the people of this country and can already feel the warmth,” she said. “I am sure this will be an event that will capture the hearts of fans.”

Current Economic Analysis

I’d like to start a thread to discuss some of the recent economic activities. I apologize for the rambling nature of this post, but I wanted to throw a lot of ideas out there and see what people think. The first question I have is, is our economy really in the tank? I am no Pollyanna when it comes to the realities of our economy, certainly I realize that there are some major problems out there and we are certainly in a slow down. However, how much of our economy woes are actualized, and how much of it is just Democratic wishful thinking? For instance, most of us probably heard the news that the GDP grew at .6% the first quarter this year. While not a staggering amount, a recession is traditionally defined as 2 consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. So, we still are not anywhere near a recession because we have not even had a single quarter of negative GDP growth.

Clinton Obama Polling Bias

Here is an analysis of primary polling bias for all of the states holding primaries since March 1st. A comparison of pre-election polls to election results shows a polling bias against the eventual winner of each state, whether that was Obama or Clinton (mostly). It seems that the polling organizations are predicting closer races than really occur.

This analysis relies on the “poll of polls” otherwise known as the Real Clear Politics polling averages leading up to each primary. RCP takes the average of the last several polls to give us a consensus poll.

Obviously this method is faulty in several respects, such as the ability of one highly deviating poll to skew the average and the fact that less competitive states rely on less data. Some of the polls appear to be politically motivated to favor one candidate over the other. However the “RCP average” has proven in the past to be a reasonable barometer for how things stand in an election. And in fact, the poll of polls has called each winner correctly.

Kwame Kilpatrick Text Messages Released

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is still being picked on by the mean ol’ Detroit Free Press!

As I’m sure everyone knows, the Hip-Hop Mayor of Detroit is Kwame Kilpatrick and he’s been under attack by the Detroit Free Press and other conspirators for a while now. Actually, its been a looonnng while. The City County in Detroit and all sorts of other unsavory characters have been trying to get him out of office for just a few small, itsy-bitsy, little-bitty, merely human indiscretions. You tell me …. what man can say he wouldn’t get just a little drunk on that kind of power. He is only human!!!!

After all he’s been through, the Detroit Free Press has managed to get even more of the good mayor’s sexy text messages released to the public. This gives the City Counsel even more ammunition to use against Kwame.

Obama Press Conference on Jeremiah Wright (Video)

Here is the transcript and video of Barack Obama’s press conference in which he discusses Reverend Jeremiah Wright. The big press conference took place on April 29th, 2008. The comments were directed at Jeremiah Wright’s recent emergence to “defend himself” from criticism. Wright has done enormous damage to the Obama campaign.

In the press conference, Obama takes a 90 degree turn on his former pastor. No more the eccentric “uncle,” Jeremiah Wright was cast as a pariah by Obama. This was a necessary political move. Now the question becomes, will the public buy it? Or will the public continue to question how Obama is influenced by a 20-year relationship with an anti-American pastor he recently described as his spiritual mentor.

Obama has been slipping in the polls this week and needs Wright out of the picture. Yes, he will still win the primary contest with Hillary (well, probably), but Reverend Wright is doing enormous damage to his general election chances against John McCain.

Troy Buswell: Australian Liberal Party Leader

Troy Buswell is the leader of the Western Australia Liberal Party. He’s been sniffing ladies chairs, but he’s really really sorry about it and isn’t quiting his job.

Back in 2005 Troy Buswell, the leader of the Australian Liberal Party crawled around on the floor in front of a female colleague. He’s also been accused of snapping the bra of another female staffer, making sexist remarks to other staffers and …. are you sitting down for this one? ….. sniffing the chair in which a female colleague had been sitting.

Ick!!!!!!

Ick …. ick …. ewww … ick …. ICK …. eww!!!!

Buswell has refused to admit OR deny these allegations since they have been levied against him. For the longest time Buswell called the multiple accusations from multiple women a conspiracy to keep him from getting into the leadership position he is currently in. I think that would be called something like a Vast Female Conspiracy.
