Interesting that the video/cuts of Fred speaking were when Imus was on MSNBC, not Fox Business as pictured. That was when the show was 'really' funny, now it is lame and 'dumbed-down' for all of the Fox viewers.

I met Fred in the AT&T horse barn at the Imus Ranch a number of years ago, when visitors were allowed to tour the facility. I had recently made a $5,000 donation (qualifying me to be a "foreman") to the Imus ranch for kids with cancer and was looking for my name on the plaque attached to the barn. Don had recently fallen off his horse and was recuperating. Fred was sitting on the barn floor, leaning against a stall, with a few of the ranch hands when I informed him my wife and I were headed up to Taos the next day. Fred simply looked up at me from the floor and said, "Why?" He was right, there wasn't much reason to go to Taos! But Fred, along with Santa Fe and the ranch made our trip out West from New York worthwhile.
