Good call Mick; don’t forget that today is also the anniversary of the Waco disaster, one of our country’s worst examples of government aggression gone awry. Did anybody read Bill Clinton’s editorial today? He basically blamed Oklahoma City on anti-government sentiment, and barely even mention Waco.

On this day my heart goes out to the Oklahoma the victims.
When this happened I heard it on the radio at work. I was not politically inclined at the time or even active enough on the subject to give a sht whether it was right or left extremism. It was not til after 911 that I started paying close attention political and world affairs.
It was just some moron pee’d off with some loose screws.

OK, but that’s not really the same thing. I’m unhappy with the government too, but I would never describe myself as “angry” in the put-a-hit-on-Sandra-Bullock sense.

I think what McCain is talking about here is violent anger, not political anger. A statistically significant rise in this sentiment should manifest itself in increased violent crime rates. I’m just wondering if that has actually been reflected since the start of this recession. Last I heard we were sill setting record lows for violent crime in this country.
