Brian;"Boxer has worked hard for california for many years and understands the issues. "

And then you followed up on that with all the crap California is facing as result of her. She understands nothing.

Pay attention Zoanne

I totally agree with those who support Fiorina. I think BOXER MUST LEAVE THE SENATE...

First of all, if Boxer does have good ideas then why, as incumbent, has she led California to the way it is today? Please don't say things were out of her control. As Senator, she had tremendous impact on the present condition of California as we see it today. As a weak leader with a low vision for California's future, she may promote only today's pressing needs, but lacks the strength to make tough choices needed for our state. Seems like she only want's the sanctuary of her office and will only provide the leadership that promotes her next election. So much for the need of California's residents, it's more a matter of the specific votes that keep her in. While watching the debates in San Luis Obispo, Boxer's statements were very general, unlike Fiorina who had concrete ideas for this state.

People make the false assumption that just because Fiorina was booted out of HP, she will be a terrible Senator for California. That's ridiculous. First of all, a leader also needs to make tough decisions. She made choices in HP that outsourced work and increased the productivity of that company. Sure jobs were lost, but for the need to save the company from tanking. Do you guys want to see California tank? Why are we losing jobs now? Don't blame Fiorina, blame Boxer - the incumbent who should have had the fiscal management and vision for this state in the first place!!!

Brian, I agree fully. Anyone that is going to make a comment should do their research, like you obviously have, before they just spew out whatever hateful message they want to put out there. Thank you for putting out your insightful message and hopefully enlightening some who are open enough to accept an intelligent perspective on the reality of what is going on in our state. Thank you.

Boxer has worked hard for california for many years and understands the issues. Its wrong to trash her and its a mistake to think fiorina can automatically really do any better. I am against fiorina as she was overpaid as ceo of hp and left under a cloud. She has no special skills or insights outside of hp as far as I can tell. What is important is that the senator of calif, have a good network of people she can influence and who is dedicated to working on the people's behalf with some results. If you go to boxers website you will find a lot of useful information on programs and bills and what she plans to do about them. I think fiorina and whitman are running vanity campaigns with their own money mainly. Anyone knows what california needs is jobs and capped public employee salaries and pensions and reduction in regulations and taxes so people and businesses can thrive and compete. Its not rocket science. California has a problem though, one is its structural flawas in too many mandated initiatives outside of the governors budget and its now set in cement reputation as being a hard place to do business in. I would add its housing market is out of control price wise. It also has infrastructure problems of crowded big city freeways and real problmes with health care access. This is why even the governator has had an impossible time reforming california. There is no magic wand cure. But if in the next years public outlays can be reduced, a reset frankly, and infrastructure bottle necks and the business climate be addressed it would be a good thing. I think they should downsize the beuracracy and reduce their overall compensation as well, its grown too top heavy.
