Ms Ellie, even without the data, we can see the before and after pictures of the polar ice caps....they are melting away, and as a result, the low lying regions of the world...The Phillipines, some parts for the carribean are experiencing unusual floods. These are reported on TV. You can see areas in Africa that are turning to dust because of drought. So without the flawed data, the whole world needs to step up and find a solution. I would rather we find out we were wrong and the world is ok, than find out very late that the pundits were right and the damage is permanent. What type of world will we leave then for our children and grandchildren.

I think it is good policy if we can get the rest of the world, esecially the states where the most pollution comes from, like China, Brazil, India, the US and others to act. You go to China today, you will need to wear a mask in some parts because of the heavy pollution. Unfortunately the pollution in China does not stay in China, it spreads to other parts of the world. So the solution has to be global. I think this is what President Obama is pushing, although he faces very stiff opposition from people who argue that setting limits will loose jobs. This is fair argument, but if the solution is coordinated around the world, then no one country will bear the brunt. We just cannot sit and hope for the best, we need to do something.

Sam, The Climategate gives me a reason to doubt global warming science - as the collected data may have been selectively used.

Ms Ellie, thank you. But I am not exactly sold on the fact that climate change is not real. There are too many incidents around the world for people to stop and reflect. I have read that some scientist may have fudged climate data, but I am not sure I would leap to conclude based on this alone that climate change is not real. There are just too many incidents around the world that should cause fair minded people to reflect on.

The north pole ice cap is shrinking fast, the data on this is not fake, it is well documented. The severe floods in Asia is well documented, and reported everyday on the news. The arid lands in africa is real and the shrinking waters in some carribean countries is very well documented. Here in America, we sre seeing severe and strange weather patterns over the last few years. Places that have snow now are sunny and places that were sunny are now having snow. Its up to the scientist to tell us if these situations can be attributed to normal weather cycle, and I am not informed enough to offer an opinion. I would tend to listen to the experts on this, and if any of them cooks the data to make a political point, they should be called out. It seems some of them did cook the data, and they are now rightly being called out. This is goodness, but I would not jump to conclude that based on this alone, that climate change is not real.

Sam, I actually agree with you - rendition is not the right policy. We should be able to "intense interrogate" them in America - we need new laws to make it work. May be instead of Climate Change - they should do International Summit on Terrorism and come up with a special court for them, that will not give them the honor to have rights of a soldier and will not give them the chance to hide behind our civil laws. It is a world-wide problem - and a real one - not like the global warming. They are doing Summits on fake science, instead of one on terrorism.

Ms Ellie, well I did not say he is perfect!!. Your are correct if what the LA time says is accurate. But it is not right policy. My point is either Torture these nasty detainees here in America, or take them out and shoot them one by one. Do not waste my tax money to build special prisons to hold them.
