Yes, that lover of Israel would shoot down Israeli aircraft if they flew over Iraqi airspace. I do not doubt that President Obama would do the same.

Nice to have allies that you can depend upon when the shooting starts.

I don't think they could close the straight of hormuz with the US and Nato and Arab navy presence there. THey could harrass it or sink a few of their ships there, the only thing really dangerous they have is the soviet sunfiree crusie missle. For that matter we could sink their navy, occupy the gulf of hormuz, including the iranian side if we had to. no doubt oil speculators would drive up the price of oil, but we have efficiencys coming down the line in our auto fleets and use of oil.

Sorry Brian your comment is wrong "They are incredibly weak actually from any strategic or tactical point of view"

Think about the world economy if the Straight of Hormuz was closed even for a couple of months. $ 300 barrel of oil ? I would suggest America would fall into a Depression along with the rest of the world.

that is why we have domestic policy as well as foriegn policy. domestically we are slowly going broke and we got to fix our steam turbines to keep this ship of state a going. foreign policy demands are just that, foriegn to our domestic situation. they don't care, they don't wait. we have to address both.

You know right now Iran is on the verge of blowing up Israel and us, but all he wants to do is talk about healthcare. I mean the economy is important, but these are our lives all of our lives and I think dealing with Iran is more important right now than anything else. Now obama chooses to handle Iran like everything else he does and that's lay out a good outline for a building that will never be made.
