lets put it this way.
Does anyone really think our country would of turned out the same if it were settled by Muslims ?

Hey, at the rate Obama is going fricken Nugent and Palin will look attractive to the whole country in about a month.

Sorry man. Palin has alot of success and alot more executive accomplishments to her name than Obama. Period.
What has he done for America in the last 8 years compared to her ? A little community organization and he spent almost his whole two years as senator campaigning and now hes shredding the whole country. BFD

Her record speaks intelligent decisions.
Obamas does not.
I like her, I've seen her debate people that are presumably according to the portrait given of her way above her caliber. She chewed em up and spit em out. But you have to hunt and get away from the crap the media will only let you see. When a guy like me likes a politician its gotta say something because I'm pretty much a no BS dont dance around the bush kinda guy.

Watch this, Shes no idiot.

Alright man, this discussion is going nowhere fast. Go ahead, push for Palin in 2012. I think it's a pretty crappy alternative to Obama -- one that was already tried and failed -- and putting her on the ticket won't do much besides get Barack re-elected for another term.

Of course, that's ultimately want you want right Mick? Obama through 2016?? Right????

"and then fired that someone for not being “loyal”, until things got hot under the collar and Palin reinstated the librarian."

Loyalty can have a lot of curcumstances fall under it and really goes to nothing. Insubordination ? Defiant ? So what ? Theres no real detailed explanation as to how this librarian was being unloyal, not that I've heard.
I really doubt that Palin in any executive position would be some kind of Jerry Falwell or that she would discount basic science such as carbon dating that doesnt lie. Shes got some pretty basic pragmatic thought constructs and a pretty impressive success to failure ratio.

"Right, but the beliefs are only officially sanctioned by law; without the legal support, the beliefs mean nothing. If a “Judeo Christian” (or any other type) belief has no law to back it up — as is often the case — it is not a legitimate basis on which an elected official can take action."

Never said they were sanctioned by anything. I said that it was Christian ethics and morals that directed these men to not have the two intertwined. They did not want government interviening into the church anymolre than they wanted the church dictating to the government.
Our laws are still derived of almost every one of the ten commandments. In God we trust is everywhere and all officials are bound to their faith buy what religion they're sworn in on.
Why would Christians insist that the church and state remain seperate yet most other religions dictate that they are the rule of the land ?
It took Christians to realize the two should be seperated.

"The law may be based on certain beliefs, but it is not the same as those beliefs. That disconnect is critical to the workings of our Constitution and the government it establishes."
As I said, most other religions such as Islam dictate that they are the final rule and not the government.

Alright yeah don't feel like you need to list out the record; I'm not that interested anyway. Is that enough of a "break" for you?

And no, your quotes dont prove anything about cover ups

I never said they did. I was only questioning why the quotes you selected "proved" anything more than the quotes I selected. It's all the same story.

Bottom lines is that she only asked how someone would feel about it

... and then fired that someone for not being "loyal", until things got hot under the collar and Palin reinstated the librarian.

But our laws are based on Christian beliefs still

"You keep mentioning this supposedly impressive record. What’s so great about it?"

Gimme a break, alright ? Please, dont make me list her record, its astounding. I had this debate when she was on the ticket and everyone was comparing her qualifications opposed to Obama and not Biden. She out qualifies Obama 10 to 1. Starting with being one of the 3 most successful governors in the country, her management of the largest parks, domestic forces, ran a city for 6 years, a state for two, balanced budgets etc... trust me, I could go on.

And no, your quotes dont prove anything about cover ups, gimme another break, please. The quotes you used prove my point that its just additional fadder to give the appearance of a cover up. The facts show that everything was just rhetorical conversation pumped up to make her look like some kind of litirary dictator.
Bottom lines is that she only asked how someone would feel about it. Was concerned about a certain book, never asked to have anything removed. PERIOD !
Because I ask you if you favor abortion does that mean i'm leaning to pro choice ? Please.

"Founded on, but made explicitly separate from. It’s an important distinction."

Not really. Most all our founding fathers made their decisions based on the values, morals and ethics derived of their faith. Its those foundations that led these men to make sure the two were seperate.
Still, our laws are based on Judeo Christian values whether anyone likes it or not. Does the church tell the country how to legislate ? Of course not. But our laws are based on Christian beliefs still. Does the state dictate to the church ? Nope.

You keep mentioning this supposedly impressive record. What's so great about it?

Oh, and yes, selective Micky. How do your quotes "prove the story has been stretched", any more than my quotes "prove" that Palin and friends tried to cover this all up? Does the fact that you provided those quotes give them more weight or something?

I’ll bet she gets more direction from her judeo christian beliefs than she does the church. Many of the same principles our country was founded on

Founded on, but made explicitly separate from. It's an important distinction. A politician's duty is to the laws of the land (ie, the US Constitution on down), not the laws of some specific religion.
