Not that the generals opinion is of any relevance I just thought I’d toss in a little tid bit that goes further to shredding your asinine position

This morning in an interview with Martha McCallum general Patraeus was asked about waterboarding.

There’s no transcript or video up yet but off my DVR I’ll quote the general and Martha.

Martha;
” The former vice president has spoken out on waterboarding which I know you’re against and that he believes it saved lives.

Patraeus;

” Well my thoughts are that its time to stop arguing about the past probably, take the rear view mirrors off this bus and look to the future. Again if you start with the concept that we ought to live our values that’s exactly what we should do as we move forward.

Martha;

“The argument for having that discussion now is the possibility that a suspect could be in custody and an attack could be imminent.

Patraeus;

” That’s always the debate, the doomsday scenario, that one I will be happy to leave with our judicial system to determine whether there might be an exception that would require extraordinary but very rapid approval to deal with. But for the vast majority of the cases our experience, downrange if you will is that the techniques that are in the army files manual that lays out how we treat detainees how we interrogate them, those techniques work, that’s our experience in this business.

Martha;

So is sending this signal that were not going to use these kind of techniques anymore what kind of impact does that have on people that do us harm in the field that you operate in “?

Patraeus;

” Well what I would ask is does that not take away from our enemies a tool which again they’ve beaten us around the head and shoulders in the court of public opinion.”

So, as you can see as a soldier he holds his own perspective but also allows for extreme measures by saying if they are called for he would leave it up to the courts.
What he did not say is that it should “NOT” be allowed under any circumstance like the rest of you moonbats are saying.

I’m sure within at least a 24 hour period this whole video will go viral and you’ll get to see that I’m not some full o sh*t punk who just likes to digest selective crap, make stuff up, pull it outta his rump and call it truth.

There are sections in the interview where he undoubtedly dodges questions or eludes to having others be responsible for the answer and seems to be more worried about our image in some cases, but in the complete interview you’ll see that he places great faith in the judicial branch to make decisions based on crucial circumstances and that he also thinks we should move forward and unlike you morons not try to look back and prosecute those for what was legal at the time, NO MATTER WHAT YOU WANT TO CALL IT TODAY !!!

And so Obama retracted it all and said like the church lady “never mind”.
