Cops poured into ' Bayou Country ' from all over the US. It took a couple of months to find him. In the mean time, they found dozens of fugitives and bodies. Anyone looking to ' disappear ' can do so in Louisiana. Remote Oil Field Trash Camps and Towns full of the same, are lousy with some of the creepiest people on earth. I found myself spending most of my adult life in places like Venice, Hopedale, Dulac and Cocodrie. They check you for guns at the door to barrooms.
