The big news today is that Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) has resigned from the House Freedom Caucus as he had wanted to vote for the Paul Ryan health care bill. According to Rep. Poe, he was not alone as perhaps a dozen or more members of this very-Conservative, GOP caucus, were ready to support the bill, primarily to end Obamacare and to give President Donald Trump a legislative victory. However, the Freedom Caucus votes as a unified block and the majority, led by Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), opposed the American Health Care Act. This majority stood on principle, which is a fine and noble thing. But, very often principle does not get the job at hand done. A good example of this was seen last night in our favorite Zombie Apocalypse TV series, ″The Walking Dead″.
