Doomsday Bunkers on Discovery Channel shows Prepper Business

Last night the Discovery Channel premiered its new series, ′Doomsday Bunkers′, a quasi-Reality TV look into the world of Scott Bales and his company, Deep Earth Bunkers. Thanks in part to the success of another series, ′Doomsday Preppers′ on the National Geographic TV network, Scott′s Texas-based firm is getting busier by the day. He started out primarily making storm shelters for people who live in areas prone to tornadoes. But in recent years, following the financial disaster and the mismanagement of the Obama administration, more of Scott′s trade is now focused on constructing survival bunkers for ′preppers.′ Scott is also something of an inventor and is always working on new, crazy gadgets.

Occupy Denver Infests Freedom Works Blogger Event

I am in Denver this weekend Blogcon 2011 being put on by Freedom Works, a Washington DC-based conservative activist organization. The event has been a great learning experience on dry issues such as improving your website SEO and how to more effectively use YouTube, but the big fun was when Occupy Denver cam a’calling.

In fact, the Occupiers hit us up twice during Friday’s activities and, amusingly, there was more of us than of them. At one point there were two conservative bloggers with video cameras in hand to every one protester.

At around 3PM the first little wave of protesters infested the lobby of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Denver. Noisy, insistent, but ultimately unfocused and hazy these protesters disrupted out conference — to our glee, I have to say — and caused us all to spill out of our meeting room to join the fun.

Woman Dies at Occupy Vancouver Protest Tent City

Saturday afternoon a woman dies at the Occupy Vancouver protest tent city. Located near the Vancouver Art Gallery, paramedics responded to the medical emergency when a 20-something woman was discovered not breathing. The cause of death was later determined for the woman at Occupy Vancouver to be a drug overdoes. Just three days before, a man at Occupy Vancouver was also treated for a drug overdose. Mayor Gregor Robertson, who faces a reelection challenge from Suzanne Anton, voiced concern and frustration over the protesters′ encampment, but will not take decisive action yet to shutdown the area down. Meanwhile, here in the U.S., professional protester Jesse Jackson has declared the Occupy ′movement′ to be similar to the Civil Rights movement.

Glenn Beck vs Occupy Wall Street (VIDEO)

Glenn Beck has been warning us about the Occupy Wall Street protests for over two years as they go global today, with demonstrations in dozens of cities across North America and Europe. Reports of violence are numerous, dispelling the slappy-happy nature the Media has been attempting to portray. While celebrity protesters, like Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore, Kanye West, Danny Glover and Penn Badgley, join in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement for wealth redistribution, Glenn Beck shows us who is really behind the curtain, pulling the strings of these useful idiots.

Day of Rage 2011 Protest hits Wall Street

Today, the Day of Rage 2011 protest hit Wall Street, or tried to. The Day of Rage protest was first announced on March 11 by former ACORN head, Wade Rathke, to sympathize with the Arab Spring movement, such as seen at Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt. The plan was for SEIU, the Service Employee International Union, to organize 100,000 Leftists, Marxists, Anarchists, and other non-bathing nere-do-wells into assembling in front of the New York Stock Exchange and occupying the area for several months. This then got downgraded to just 20,000 hopeful anti-capitalism protesters. But when the big day arrived, barely a thousand showed up and police had barricades set up keeping the lunatics well outside the financial district.

Is Society Breaking Down? Or Are Kids Just Being Kids?

Society is breaking down all across the western world. Unfortunately, it is bands of youths doing the breaking, literally. So, what should be done? How do we regain a level of respect for others, a respect of the rule of law and private property in our increasingly out of control youth? And what and or who is at fault?

A recent attack of a store clerk in Dallas, Texas reveals a disrespect for the law, an immediate resort to violence, and a hatred of simple civility that too many young Americans are mired in these days. Similarly, in Europe we’ve seen for several years, now, a series of riots by young people (or Yobs, as the Brits call them) variously over Muslim issues, implementation of austerity measures, and simple thuggery. All of these “reasons” utterly illegitimate.

The incident in Dallas is typical, though. A crowd of young people enter a business, start stealing and acting like useless punks, and then violence is the obvious result. Fortunately for the poor, young store clerk it didn’t get any worse than it did, but it easily could have. Remember the Rodney King riots? Yes, that sort of violence.

Bobby Unser: Race Car Driver, Celebrity… Criminal?

Bobby Unser is famous for having won the Indy 500 three times and only one of two drivers that won that great race in three separate decades (‘68, ‘75, ‘81).

Unser has a long list of achievements in motor sports starting back in the early 1960s. But there is one achievement, dubious though it may be, that the federal government is happiest he achieved. He is officially a federal criminal and the U.S. Forest Service couldn’t be happier.

Criminal? Oh, you bet. At least according to our despotic federal government he sure is.

Democrat Reform in Mid East? Gadhafi Orders Protesters Killed in Tripoli

While we here in America have been busy watching well-paid union members rampaging across the Midwest, people who are really, truly oppressed are being murdered by dictators all across the Arab world. Over night Libyan Dictator Col. Moammar Gadhafi ordered his security forces to open fire on his own citizens who are protesting for democratic reforms.

Gadhafi has holed up in the small nation’s capitol, Tripoli, and recently told the world that he would go down as a “martyr” and would fight until his last drop of blood. Of course, his being a martyr is somewhat amusing. At least by someone, martyrs are loved well enough to have become designated one! No one loves this murderous madman.
