Israel prepares for Ground War in Gaza, Egypt Too?

Israel has called up some 75,000 reservists in preparation for a potential ground war in Gaza against the terrorist group, Hamas. For the past several days, some 450 rockets have been launched by Hamas against Israel, including some Iranian-built, long-ranged rockets capable of hitting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Egypt has now entered the game as well, with the Muslim Brotherhood government vowing to support Hamas. Several rockets fired Friday night into Israel came from Egyptian-held territory in the Sinai Peninsula. So far, Israel has been dishing out counterstrikes as quickly as possible, targeting rocket launching sites which are usually located in urban areas. Their ′Iron Dome′ rocket-defense missiles have stopped about 100 Hamas-fired rockets, leading Israel to deploy additional batteries of Iron Dome during this heightened state of emergency.

Obama – Too Busy or Lazy to Lead?

The past 24 hours raises the question of whether Barack Obama is too busy or too lazy to be president? He is apparently too busy to meet with the Prime Minister of Israel to discuss the latest intelligence concerning Iran and its nuclear program. Meanwhile, the U.S. embassy in Cairo was stormed by protesters and our flag was dragged down and replaced with an Islamic flag. Our embassy in Libya was attacked with gunfire and rocket grenades, resulting in the deaths of four U.S. citizens, including our ambassador to Libya! Earlier this week, we learned that Obama skips most of his daily security briefings, only attending about 44% of them. We already know that Obama has not met with his jobs council since January. So just what the heck is he doing to earn his pay and all those wonderful benefits of being president?

Netanyahu Urges Romney to Attack Iran

While in Israel this weekend, as Andy previously reported here, Benjamin Netanyahu urged America to attack Iran. This is hardly news any more than it would be news if a bear defecated in the woods. You see, since he was Israel’s Ambassador to the US, during Reagan’s presidency, Bibi has urged our nation to attack or invade some of his neighbors. Every new President is immediately requested to pay homage to Israel so that his political party can receive some share of the lucre that is available. It doesn’t actually matter which nation or nations we attack, Netanyahu is happy, until he thinks of another country we should invade a week or so later. Thus far, the only President who followed his advice was Bush 2; those wars ended up just fantastic.

Mitt Romney in Israel Pledges Support

Mitt Romney was in Israel this weekend, in case you missed it. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee met with his old buddy, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss a wide range of issues facing the Middle East. On Sunday, Romney also met with Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. Romney spokesman Dan Senor assured reporters that Romney would support whatever decision Israel made about dealing with Iran and its pursuit of a nuclear weapon. During a joint appearance, Netanyahu did intimate that the current administration in the White House, namely Barack Obama, has failed to stop Iran with just diplomacy. Romney also hinted that he would consider moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, something Obama opposes.

31 Years after Israeli Airstrike on Iraqi Reactor

Today, June 7, 2012, marks the 31st anniversary of Operation Opera, the Israeli airstrike on the Osirak nuclear reactor facility just outside of Baghdad in Iraq. Also known as Operation Babylon, the mission consisted of eight F-16 jet fighters, each armed with two Mark-84, 2,000 pound ′iron bombs′, to fly nearly 1,000 miles to hit their target. Iraq had been dabbling in nuclear experiments since the 1960s and in the mid ′70s, arranged to buy two reactors from the French. For $300 Million dollars, Saddam Hussein purchased the reactors, as well as a supply of enriched uranium fuel and a team of French technicians to help in the construction and training of Iraqi engineers. Israel felt threatened by Iraq′s nuclear ambitions and they were not alone.

Obama talks tough on Iran to AIPAC before Netanyahu meeting

Barack Obama tried to talk tough about Iran when he appeared at the AIPAC gathering yesterday, timed just before meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House today. Obama tried to channel Theodore Roosevelt, but failed miserably. Instead of speaking softly and carrying a big stick, Obama spoke loudly, insisting that the economic sanctions be given more time to curb the nuclear program in Iran. He also played partisan politics, attacking Republican candidates like Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum for their strong stands against Iran and their strong support of the Israel. Obama told the audience at AIPAC, the American-Israeli Political Action Committee, that ″there is too much loose talk of war.″

Lefty Icon Slams Obama’s Racist Internet Media Shop, Media Matters For America

Some of you may not be aware of a little trafficked website named Media Matters for America, but it is a pretty high-powered website for programming the left-wing attack machine. It is a George Soros-funded entity that claims to be a non-profit — more on that in a minute — and its chief concern is to attack various conservative media outlets (mostly Fox News) and serving as the leading left-wing programmer of the Democrat political narrative. Fox News recently reported that David Brock, MMfA founder, has been paying off his “domestic partner” to keep quiet about the financial fraud going on with MMfA’s accounts, as well. It is also a pretty virulently anti-Jew site and that is something that a lefty icon is calling them on at long last.

MMfA has been in the news of late since the DailyCaller launched an insider expose series of how MMfA is programmed by Obama in secret meetings and in turn is itself programming the media with Obama’s message. Fox News recently reported that David Brock, MMfA founder, has been paying off his “domestic partner” to keep quiet about the financial fraud going on with MMfA’s accounts, as well.

Now leading lefty super-lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, is attacking MMfA for its extreme anti-Semitism.

Iran goes aggressive as Obama cuts Defense Budget

Iran is becoming more aggressive just as Barack Obama makes deep cuts in our defense budget. Two attacks directed at Israel embassy personnel this week in India and Georgia (Eastern Europe), as well as three bombings in Thailand yesterday. Also on Tuesday, Iran sent small attack boats to within 2 miles of the Abraham Lincoln carrier battle group as it steamed through the Strait of Hormuz. A US Navy helicopter dropped flares near the attack boats as a warning for them to withdraw. Today, Iran announces that it is just two steps away from being completely self-sufficient in producing nuclear fuel. Another indication that the Tehran government has no intentions of backing away from its nuclear ambitions. Iran also announced that it will consider suspending oil sales to six European nations which are participating in economic sanctions. This is helping to drive up oil prices today to over $101 a barrel.
