NOW President Terry O’Neill’s Last Word

Yes, TimTebow and his mother, Pam, made an ad for Focus on the Family that aired during Super Bowl 44. The NOW (National Organization of Women) President, Terry O’Neill, was fit to be tied weeks before this heinous and hateful ad even aired. Along with other such “female rights’ groups”, she made some interesting comments:

Take a comment recently made by National Organization for Women (NOW) President Terry O’Neil upon learning that CBS will run a commercial during the Super Bowl paid for by Focus on the Family about Heisman winner Tim Tebow’s mother’s decision to oppose her doctor’s recommendation to abort Tim for medical reasons.

Terry said she had respect for the private choices made by women such as Pam Tebow but condemned the planned ad as “extraordinarily offensive and demeaning.” She went on:

“That’s not being respectful of other people’s lives,” O’Neill said. “It is offensive to hold one way out as being a superior way over everybody else’s.”

Please keep in mind that she hadn’t even seen the ad at this point. This was her knee-jerk, emotional reaction for the press. We simply cannot let those awful pro-Lifers and their oppressive, archaic ideals be allowed to be seen by several million viewers. This did not stop her, however, from having NOW post this onto the NOW website. It is an amusing read.

What Sarah Palin Didn’t Say At The TEA Party Convention

With the onset of Monday the 8th of February, I looked forward to the news being ripe with commentaries, criticisms, praises, and evaluations of the speech that Sarah Palin delivered at the TEA Party Convention in Nashville this last weekend. I was surely not disappointed.

One of the criticisms of Palin’s speech was that it seemed more like a cheerleader leading a pep rally for the TEA Party, and lacked any indications of a woman who was looking to position herself as a Presidential candidate for 2012. Well, sure. I am quite sure that Sarah Palin has not announced publicly of her intentions to run that race. Simply because she finds herself with a microphone in front of her doesn’t mean she is secretly stumping for her candidacy, much to the chagrin of the MSM.

Palin Tea Party Notes

The idea that there’s something wrong with, unusual, or telling about Palin’s having scribbled a note on her hand for a speech is absurd. There is no comparison between a couple of words written on one’s hand to remind oneself not to forget something (which is undoubtedly why she did it) and the constant use of a teleprompter — even for a speech to a bunch of elementary school kids.

Palin is no orator. Obama is. But those who aren’t foolish enough to fall for a smooth-talkin dude know that speaking skills aren’t everything. Moreover, there’s nothing genuine about using a teleprompter. A monkey can read from a teleprompter.

Palin may not sound polished when she speaks, but she speaks from the heart. I suspect she’d rather trip over her words and come across as authentic than read from a screen and sound eloquent. At least this way Americans know she’s for real, and that’s what she’s banking on.

All The Way To Nashville, 3 Days That May Change America

The first national convention of the Tea Party movement has ended in Nashville. The 3 day event drew much attention, and criticism, due to the price of admission, speaker fees and the speakers themselves, like Sarah Palin and Tom Tancredo. Accusations of ‘hijacking the movement’ were flung about by other Tea Party groups. So let’s look at what really happened.

Sarah Palin and The TEA Party

Sarah Palin, former Governor of the State of Alaska. Here is a woman that people either detest or love, and a woman that has brought a fresh twist on the perception of feminism in America today. It would be difficult to recall the last time any one person has impacted the American Political Machine quite like Sarah Palin has done, and continues to do so even today.

At one time, she was the Vice Presidential candidate in John McCain’s bid for the Presidency. The mainstream American media drooled over Sarah Palin, stalking her family and attacking her with all the subtlety of crack addicts on payday. The gloves came off, apparently, as the media did their utmost best to fluster, confuse, demonize, and vilify a woman they barely knew, simply because she was a woman who was pro-Life, Christian, Republican, and genuinely nice. The liberal comedy circuit also had a ratings explosion while portraying Sarah as some sort of demented beauty-pageant contestant who held public office based on her looks. Even 6 months after November 2008, the mainstream media felt it necessary to continue to hound this woman who returned to Alaska to resume the life she had to leave for the sake of a failed RINO. Eventually, after too many lawsuits filed against her by her detractors and the jealous, vitriolic Democrats of Alaskan politics, she resigned her position as Governor of Alaska, and disappeared off the radar for a bit.

That was then. This is now.

Maverick John McCain’s Mavericky Challenger, J.D. Hayworth

From inside Washington John McCain spoke about being outside of Washington in order to remain inside Washington.

It was a hard line to sell.

Sarah Palin helped the medicine go down for Republicans disappointed with all the ADD aisle crossing, yet too disgusted with the idea of a third Clinton term to vote for anyone else.

This time the Maverick line has a snag.
