Is the old CIA group, MK-Ultra, back to their old tricks using technology which inventor Dr. Robert Duncan calls a ′Voice of God′ weapon? Is this related to Air Force technology known as ′synthetic telepathy′? Thousands of American citizens claim they are being attacked with psychotronic devices because at some point in time they have been critical of either the federal or local government. Jesse Ventura is back with Conspiracy Theory, Season 3 and his 2012 line up includes probing the Death Ray mystery. The series airs Wednesday nights on TruTV. Rumors of the government working on death rays have been around since Nikola Tesla claimed to have designed one in the early 1940s just prior to his death. Ventura follows a trail, including talks with former ′Star Wars′ or SDI (Strategic Defense Initiative) scientists like Dr. Fred Bell and John Hutchison. He also has a new spin on the 9/11 attacks against the Twin Towers after talking with Dr. Judy Wood, who thinks a directed-energy weapon was responsible. This season, Conspiracy Theory becomes a family affair with Jesse′s son Tyrel Ventura and Sean Stone, son of Oliver Stone, joining investigators June Sarpong and Michael Braverman.
The U.S. Air Force announced this past week that their secretive space plane, the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle, or OTV, will be landing soon after now having spent 453 days in Earth orbit. This is only the second test flight of the X-37B, which first flew in 2010 for 225 days. Launched again on March 5, 2011, by the 30th Space Wing team at Vandenberg Air Force Base, the second test mission was originally scheduled to last only 270 days. Unlike the recent Dragon space vehicle which splashed down in the Pacific Ocean,the 29-foot long robotic space shuttle will land like an airplane, though an exact date has yet to be announced.
Move over Survivor and Big Brother! Forget about the Kardashians! A Dutch company, Mars-One, is planning to establish a human colony on the Red Planet in 2023, and you′ll get to watch the whole thing on Reality TV! The enterprise has the backing of the 1999 Noble Prize winning Dutch physicist Gerard ′t Hooft and Reality TV mogul, Paul Romer, who created the Big Brother series. They describe the plan for a colony on Mars as a ″media event″ and ″media spectacle.″ If all goes well, the first four astronauts will blast off and head for Mars late in 2022, arriving the following year after a 7-month journey. This will take place after a series of supply and equipment craft land on Mars before the humans depart from Earth. Every two years after the initial colonists land on Mars, another group of four will join them, bringing the total number to 20 by 2033.
Elon Musk is one happy man after his SpaceX Dragon capsule docked with the International Space Station, ISS, yesterday. After the first SpaceX rocket launch was aborted last week, the Falcon 9 rocket successfully lifted the Dragon spacecraft into Earth orbit on May 22. Three days later, following over five hours of a carefully orchestrated ballet, the unmanned Dragon capsule was maneuvered close enough to the ISS where the station′s robotic arm was able to grab it. By the afternoon of May 25, the Dragon spacecraft was docked with the Harmony module of the space station. This morning, on May 26, astronauts on board the station opened the hatch and have begun unloading the 1,014 pounds of supplies.
Facebook stock is crashing after its first two full days of trading on the NASDAQ. After a glitch-filled, anemic Friday when the Facebook IPO was launched, the markets have clobbered the new stock, losing 11% on Monday and almost 9% on Tuesday. Founder Mark Zuckerberg went from being worth some $19 Billion dollars Friday evening to less than $16 Billion when the bell closed trading yesterday with the stock at about $31 a share. Morgan Stanley, a primary underwriter for the IPO, has a lot of egg of their faces due to how they handled the roll-out and pricing of Facebook shares. But the mess on Friday may get messier as a lawsuit has been filed by an investor. There are now also allegations that there may have been some insider trading, violating SEC regulations.
