Rush Limbaugh on Keith Olbermann Fired from Current TV

What do Keith Olbermann and Rush Limbaugh have in common? Nothing! If Keith Olbermann fired from MSNBC were not bad enough, now he has been fired by Current TV. The network built by Al Gore and Joel Hyattt is replacing Olbermann with former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Unhappy by this, Keith Olbermann is using Twitter to vent his angst, claiming how he is being cheated out of some $50 million dollars of his contract. Current TV says that the reasons for Olbermann′s dismissal are breach of contract, sabotage and disparagement. That they are a company based on the values of respect. Olbermann was trouble from the outset, always complaining about his new work environment and chastising company executives. Rush Limbaugh laughed and joked about Keith Olbermann being fired, calling him an ″insane lunatic leftist.″

Wow! Elliot Spitzer Says Obama is Wrong, Citizens United Case Correctly Decided

President Obama has repeatedly accused the U.S. Supreme Court of making a mistake in its 2010 decision in the Citizens United case. Obama has said that corporations and political action groups should not be allowed a right to free political speech. He did so again just this last week. Many extremists on the left agree with him. But one well-known leftist crusader, former Governor of New York Elliot Spitzer, disagrees with them all. The Citizens United decision was right says Spitzer.

It is unusual to see a liberal put the Constitution before ideology, but that is exactly what Spitzer did on HBO’s Real Time show hosted by the odious Bill Maher. Spitzer correctly described the First Amendment and why the SCOTUS decision fulfilled both the spirit of the law as well as the spirit of the founder’s ideals on free political speech.

Some Men Do It With Their Socks On

So, apparently Elliot Spitzer really did get his come-uppins. It appears that he was ratted out on by a GOP political opertative, Roger Stone. Stone alerted the FBI to Spitzer’s extra-marital activities, although it makes me wonder what Stone was doing when he got this great tip. Our friends at the Weasel Times have a more complete story, but one of the jucier tid-bits is the following:

“It is also my client’s understanding from the same source that Gov. Spitzer did not remove his mid-calf length black socks during the sex act. Perhaps you can use this detail to corroborate Mr. Stone’s information.?

Classic.
