Sarah Palin has chimed in on the remarks made Friday by Jeb Bush about immigrants being more fertile. Speaking before the Faith and Freedom Coalition on Saturday, Palin responded saying it′s ″touchy territory to want to debate this over one race′s fertility rate over another, and I say this as someone who is kind of fertile, myself.″ Jeb Bush, who is clearly preparing to make a run for the White House in 2016, spoke to the same group the day before, calling for immigration reform. Not only did he say that immigrants are more fertile, but are more ″vital to the economy″, apparently than current citizens. This seems to be part of his strategy to help the Republican Party attract votes from both the Hispanics as well as younger population. For Sarah Palin, this is an opportunity to stir the pot as she makes her return to the Fox News Channel on Monday.

Jeb Bush says a 2016 run for the White House is not ruled out. This as the former Florida governor makes the rounds pushing his new book, Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution. Bush told Matt Lauer of the Today Show that a decision to run for Republican Party nomination is still a long way off. Bush will be speaking at the CPAC 2013 convention in Baltimore along with Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney, as well as other GOP notables. There has been some ire in the Media about Chris Christie not being invited to be among the 22 speakers at CPAC, although they forget that he gave the keynote address last year, which usually means no invite the following convention. So, is America ready for another Bush presidency?

Immigration reform takes the center stage this week, beginning today with an outline for a bipartisan plan from the U.S. Senate. Tomorrow, Barack Obama flies to Las Vegas to deliver a speech of his own plan for making illegal immigrants legal. The Senate plan would enable a large number of the some 11-plus million illegal immigrants to become permanent residents. There will be hoops to jump through and most will have a long wait behind those who have legally applied for citizenship. But the Senate plan may be overshadowed by a dark cloud of a sex scandal as one of its authors, Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), is under investigation by the FBI for allegations of hiring underage prostitutes during trips to the Dominican Republic.

A petition posted at the White House website is calling for CNN host, Piers Morgan to be deported after his comments regarding the gun control and Second Amendment of our Constitution′s Bill of Rights. As of this morning, some 70,000 people have ′signed′ on to send the blow-hard back to the UK. The petition began after Morgan interviewed Larry Pratt, head of Gun Owners of America. During which, Morgan said to Pratt, ″You are an unbelievably stupid man, aren′t you?″ for his defense of the right to own and bear arms. The hostile attack on Pratt is seen by many as an attack on the United States and principles which we hold near and dear to our hearts. Is Piers Morgan guilty of foreign subversion under our laws?

Exit polls are important because they look at actual voters, and the choice that they made. As the name suggests, exit polls are those that take place right after voting, in contrast to the barrage of polls that took place for the past year. Here, we will concentrate on the issues that were important to voters; we can then see how these issues helped frame people’s decisions. Hopefully, these polls will help our understanding of the issues that played a part in the voters’ choices.

Last Tuesday, a friend of mine in Pennsylvania picked up his 92 year old mother to take her to vote as he does every Election Day. She made sure that she had her magnifying glass with her, since she can barely see. The interesting thing, he later told me, is that she told him that she had never voted for a Democratic Presidential nominee before. She didn’t vote for FDR, Truman, JFK, LBJ, Clinton, or Obama in his first campaign. But she told her son on the ride over that she intended to vote for Obama because in Pennsylvania the GOP had passed a law that would have made it very difficult for her to cast her ballot.

Barack Obama actually faced some serious questions when taking part during Univision′s presidential forum yesterday in Florida. Mitt Romney appeared the day before, and both candidates were grilled on real issues. Several of Obama′s responses were notable. Such as when asked what his biggest failure has been during his first term, Obama, playing to the largely Hispanic audience, answered immigration reform. Apparently, Obama is more concerned about giving amnesty to the some 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States than the 23.5 million Americans who are either out of work or are under-employed.

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano announced today that we will no longer deport “certain” illegal aliens. This decree is effective immediately. No mention of any vote from Congress.

If our president and his appointees are simply going to pick and choose what laws they will and won’t abide, why do we even need a Congress?

We may as well just give the man a crown and be done with it.
