Mike Huckabee on Newtown Shooting, Blame Lack of God, not Gun Control Laws

Fox News host Mike Huckabee says the Newtown shooting blame should not be on soft gun control laws, but on a lack of God. That the Secular-Progressives have ′systematically removed God′ from our schools. Concepts such as what responsibility means have been lost in our society thanks to Liberals and their political objectives. So is Mike Huckabee correct in his hypothesis that the reason Adam Lanza shot up the Sandy Hook school, killing 6 adult women and 20 First Graders is a lack of God? The issue of gun control laws have already been raised, but could there be a different reason?

Long Lines mark Chick Fil-A Appreciation Day

Yesterday, the fast food chain of Chick Fil-A set new records as long lines marked Appreciation Day nationwide. Begun by Mike Huckabee to promote free speech after various groups attacked the chain′s CEO, Dan Cathy, for remarks made about gay marriage, the response was a huge success. Most outlets experienced lines of about three blocks as people rallied to support the company. On Friday, gay rights groups plan to counter demonstration of holding ′kiss-ins′ at the restaurants. But after yesterday, the mayors of cities like San Francisco and Chicago, who publicly attacked Chick Fil-A, might want to rethink their decision.

Mike Huckabee hosts Republican Presidential Forum

Last night on the Fox News Channel, Mike Huckabee hosted the Republican Presidential Forum. A 2-hour special where each candidate was grilled by three Republican state attorney generals. Six of the current GOP field appeared in the following order determined by luck of the draw, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. They each were questioned separately for 11 minutes with some restrictions. For example, none were allowed to refer to another candidate. The primary focus of the questioning was the concept of federalism, the balance of power between the federal and state governments. Some of the specific topics were education, healthcare and immigration/border security.

Mitt Romney in Iowa, Supports Corn-Ethanol Subsidies

Former Governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney visited Iowa for the first time this year yesterday as he prepares to declare his candidacy for the 2012 presidential race. In Des Moines, Romney spoke about how Barack Obama has failed as a president “When it comes to the economy and jobs for the American people, President Obama has failed, his policies did not work.” Romney′s speech was interrupted when a popcorn machine set off smoke detector alarms, causing a brief evacuation. Iowa has been a touchy subject for Romney, who lost in 2008 to Mike Huckabee despite spending some $10 million dollars in the caucus state. Romney attempted to distinguish himself from Tim Pawlenty on the subject of continuing Federal subsidies for corn-based ethanol production. Pawlenty opposes the subsidies, Romney is in favor of them.

Mike Huckabee Announcement Tonight, Will He Run or Not?

Mike Huckabee will make an announcement tonight on his Fox News Channel program. He will either declare that he is forming an exploratory committee to run for president in 2012, or not. So for the past 24 hours he has been appearing on several Fox News shows grading Obama and the White House plans during the last two years, primarily on the economy. Huckabee’s former campaign adviser, Ed Rollins, doubts the ex-Arkansas governor will run. Huckabee has two TV shows, a radio show and has even launched a cartoon series where children learn about history using a time machine.

Fox News Gives Huckabee Ultimatum to Decide on Presidential Run

Mike Huckabee consistently is ranked either as the first or second choice for President in 2012 by Republican voters. But, thus far, he hasn’t made a decision on whether he wants to seek the position. Well, that will change soon. According to Real Clear Politics, Fox News, his employer, has told Huckabee that he must make a decision by the end of this month or lose his job. Many analyst have speculated that one reason for Huckabee’s reticence in declaring his Presidential intentions is that he is paid a great deal of money for his program on the news network. Since he does not have a great deal of wealth, he has been reluctant to recuse himself from his television job. Earlier this year, two of the analysts for Fox, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, were forced off the network when they refused to make their own Presidential ambitions clear.

Today on the Fox News Channel, Glenn Beck continues with his on-air Feng Shui exercise. This time arranging his rocks and sand art connecting the dots with Julian Assange and WikiLeaks. Beck begins the show writing on Blackboard Number One “December 9, 2010 The Revolution Is NOW”. Somberly, Glenn explains that the past 48 hours have been astounding, with new revelations abound. After a recap of video clips of Van Jones and others of the Progressive movement preaching ‘top-down, bottom-up, inside-out’, Glenn Beck raises his concerns over the Julian Assange and WikiLeaks situation. On Tuesday’s show, Beck detailed the time line on the charges Assange is facing in Sweden, making a good argument that the WikiLeaks founder is being set-up. Nervously, Beck wonders just how bad a thing that may be?

Mike Huckabee Attacks Country-Club Republicans

In an interview yesterday on Aaron Klein’s radio program on WABC, Mike Huckabee berated the Republican establishment for reacting dismissively to Christine O’Donnell, the Republican candidate for senate from Delaware. He thus joined a growing group of conservatives, including Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, decrying the country club attitude among the party’s conventional leaders.
