Clint Eastwood Talks to Empty Chair, Invisible Obama (VIDEO)

Forget about the great speeches given by Mitt Romney, Marco Rubio or even Newt and Calista Gingrich! Everyone is talking about the Clint Eastwood speech featuring an empty chair, representing an invisible Barack Obama. The stunt has even led to a new term, Eastwooding, as people post pictures on the Internet of empty chairs. Eastwood was brought in as a ′mystery guest′ speaker. A good deal of buzz was created and we were all eager to see Clint hammer away at Obama in true Dirty Harry fashion. But after a lame version of the theme from the film, ″The Good, The Bad and The Ugly″, we instead got Eastwood the comedian. Not that such is all bad, Clint is a funny guy. Who else gets laughs from mere facial contortions as he squints, glares and scowls? You ca watch the video of Clint Eastwood and the empty chair below.

Jordan Political Debate Gets a Little Heated (Video)

I often make the point that trying to bring democratic values to Middle Eastern countries is akin to trying to teach my Australian Shepherd to do calculus. Well, we just got another example of this recently. In Jordan, there was a debate between two candidates.

Chris Christie, Cory Booker Combine to Make Video Parody

Chris Christie, as everyone knows, is the Republican Governor of New Jersey. Cory Booker, as most everyone knows, is the Democratic Mayor of Newark. Booker’s fame increased a couple of winters ago when, during a snowstorm, a constituent texted him that her dad couldn’t get out of his driveway; the Mayor volunteered to shovel him out. Then, earlier this year, Booker rescued a woman from a fire in her home. So the Governor and the Mayor put together a video teasing Booker’s propensity for getting himself involved in people’s troubles. They premiered the video this week at the New Jersey Correspondents Dinner.

Jon Lovitz Anti-Obama Rant Slams Taxes, Occupy Wall Street (AUDIO)

Comedian Jon Lovitz is mad at Barack Obama for his tax policies. The former Saturday Night Live comic is not happy about Occupy Wall Street either, as Jon Lovitz made an Anti-Obama rant. Lovitz was doing a podcast from his own comedy club with host Kevin Smith called ′The ABC′s of SNL′ when he went off on a tirade about paying half of of income in taxes. Admitting to being a Democrat and having voted for Obama, Jon Lovitz seems to be regretting his choice. ′This whole thing with Obama saying the rich don′t pay their taxes is fxxxing bullsxxt, and I voted for the guy and I′m a Democrat.′ Could it be that Lovitz, whose character Tommy Flanagan from SNL was a pathological liar, may be thinking that the United States has a pathological liar for president?

Not Your Father’s Democrats: The Winning Ohio Candidate No One’s Ever Met

Sometimes a quirk happens in electoral politics that is hard to explain. In this case we see a wacky little deal in Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District. A guy no one has ever met won the Democrat primary. That’s right, no one, no politician, no party operative… not even his primary opponent… has ever met Democrat nominee William Smith. Yet he won the primary by a “scant 59 votes” according to the Cincy Enquirer.

Perfect name, Smith, eh? The anonymous man.

The Enquirer calls him the “invisible candidate.” Invisible because no one seems to know the guy.

Book Review – Obama’s Shorts by Stephen Goldberg

This weekend′s book review is of Obama′s Shorts by Stephen Goldberg, published by CreateSpace. This book is the Aesop′s Fables of the 21st Century! A collection of 29 short stories featuring our favorite White House power couple, Barack and Michelle Obama, along with a cast of other characters. Together, their efforts to transform the United States into a Progressive-Socialist Utopia run into one minor little barrier – REALITY! Goldberg sets the stage over and over again with his parables demonstrating the flawed thinking that is going on in our nation′s capitol. He does so with wit and entertaining stories which are certain to either make you chuckle, or make your blood boil.

Book Review – Caine’s Pestilence by John Bascom

My book review this weekend is of Caine′s Pestilence, a new novel by John Bascom. The book is very funny, set in a crazy world with an equally crazy plot. The story is about John Gay Caine II, a mid-level manager type who lands a cushy job with a genetic research lab run by the federal government. Caine starts fooling around with genetic engineering in a lab he constructs in his basement and creates a highly infectious disease that not only inoculates and prevents the AIDS virus, but also eliminates ′irrational prejudices′, such as class envy and racism. This spells bad news for the crazy world John Bascom creates as a setting for his story. A world where Keith Olbermann heads the Fair Communications Commission, Al Franken is the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, and Nancy Pelosi is the President of the United States! AACK!!!
