Super Committee: Smoke And Mirrors Personified

Just as feared by conservatives, this “supercommittee” nonsense is turning into the absurd entity that was expected. The congressional group set up to decide the sticky issues of the budget has just announced a “savings” of $700 billion that is nothing but the smoke and mirrors of an accounting trick. There is NO savings.

The committee is suggesting that the $700 billion that was earmarked for the various wars in which we are engaged is a “savings” because we are not going to be spending it due to the ramping down of those military actions.

This is simply not a savings. Just because we are not spending it, that does not mean that we are saving anything. It just means we aren’t spending it further.

Video: Holder Refuses to Apologize to Family of Border Agent Murdered By Fast And Furious

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has finally been brought before a Congressional investigative committee looking into Obama’s disastrous policy of arming Mexican narco-terrorists with Operation Fast and Furious.

Unfortunately, he refused to apologize for the death of Brian Terry, the U.S. Border agent that was killed with a gun sold to Mexican narco-terrorists by Holder’s employees in the BATF.

Obama, Democrats Drag Feet, Government Shutdown Looms Again

As markets tank after yesterday′s Operation Twist announcement by the Federal Reserve, an additional factor may be yesterday′s defeat in the House for a Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government past September 30. Once again, we are facing a government shutdown. Barack Obama and the Democrats are dragging their feet on the matter of passing a budget for fiscal year 2012, which begins October 1. All but 6 Democrats voted Nay, along with 46 Republicans. Forget about the Senate, where Harry Reid and the Democrats haven′t come up with a budget bill for over 900 days. Meanwhile, Barack Obama continues to push his politically charged stimulus and class warfare tax bills instead of focusing on the budget.
