Benghazi-Gate Hearings – ‘Stunned’, ‘My Jaw Dropped’

Three whistle-blowers from the State Department testified yesterday at the Benghazi hearings held by the Congressional Oversight and Reform Committee. Eric Nordstrom, Mark Thompson and Gregory Hicks appeared before Darrell Issa and the rest to give their version of what happened during the terrorist attack on our facilities in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. There was general agreement that the version of the story portrayed by the White House, and by Hillary Clinton, was inaccurate. That the Accountability Review Board was very limited in it′s investigation, never interviewing high-level officials nor even having stenographers present while taking testimony. Gregory Hicks, the Deputy Mission Chief in Libya, second only to Ambassador Chris Stevens, gave perhaps the most important statements. He said of the video-protest story which U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice presented on Sunday talk shows that he was ″stunned″ and ″embarrassed″. That ″my jaw dropped″ when he heard about her talking points.

More Obama Lies and Cover-Up on Benghazi

Several news services, including Fox News and CBS News, are reporting that at least four whistle-blowers from the CIA and State Department are getting lawyers after being threatened by the Barack Obama administration. It would seem that the White House does not want them to talk with members of Congress, or the Media. But some are and the information they are providing is quite disturbing. Fox News aired the first segment of a three-part interview last night with one ′special ops operator′ who claims that there was a 40-man military unit in the region that was specifically trained for responding to an attack like the one in Benghazi, Libya which ended with four Americans killed, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Also, that there were at least 22 other military and CIA combat-trained ′shooters′ in Tripoli who could have been sent to Benghazi, but never were.

Hillary Clinton on Benghazi – ‘What Difference Does It Make Now?’ (Video)

Outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spent five and a half hours on Wednesday testifying before various Congressional hearings about the September 11 attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. For the most part the affair was a love-fest with members of the House and Senate praising her for her time at the State Department. Almost 90 minutes passed in her first appearance before a Senate committee when Ron Johnson (R-WI) questioned her about the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Hillary took offense at the question and responded ′What difference does it make now?′ in regards to why the American people have yet to hear from the survivors of the terrorist attack. When confronted by other serious questions, Clinton answered that she never read any cables from Stevens, had no input on the talking points given to U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, and generally was too busy talking to world leaders to deal with details.

Why Did Susan Rice Withdraw?

As Ryan wrote earlier in an excellent piece, Susan Rice has withdraw her name for consideration for Secretary of State. Immediately, the liberal media began speculating about the power of the conservative media and the lies that were spread. Let’s talk about what really happened. What does this tell us?

Rice Withdraws her Secretary of State Candidacy

Ambassador Susan Rice, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, has recently been rumored to be a top choice for the next Secretary of State. She has denied these rumors, and so has the White House. But recently, she has responded to them, and has identified that she is no longer next in line for Hillary Clinton’s current gig. This is all after Right-wing attacks on her credentials, her controversial comments on Libya, and her displayed lack of political leadership at the United Nations (Which is seen through several key U.N. votes).

Why Are Republicans Afraid of Hillary Clinton?

This week, Susan Rice has been meeting with a number of Republican senators to try to explain why she gave deceptive answers on a series of talking head shows after the Benghazi murders. This is widely assumed to anticipate Rice’s nomination to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Well, these private get-togethers are probably not going as well as Rice might have hoped. After each of them, the GOP senator has a press conference where he or she explains why they are disturbed or disgusted with Rice. The interesting thing to me is that none of them seem to fault the individuals who are actually more directly to blame for the Benghazi fiasco, David Petraeus, who was head of the CIA or Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State.

Senators ‘Troubled’ by Susan Rice on Capitol Hill

Susan Rice, our ambassador to the United Nations, appeared on Capitol Hill yesterday to meet with several senators. The goal was a charm-campaign to discuss her statements about the attack upon on consulate in Benghazi, Libya back on September 11, 2012. Her three most vocal critics, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte, have said that they would oppose her replacing Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. But instead of relieving concerns about Benghazi Gate, Rice′s testimony left the Republican senators more ″troubled″. This was compounded when acting CIA Director Michael Morell, who accompanied Rice, also added more confusion over the talking points memo Rice used for her five Sunday morning talk show appearances on September 16. Morell claimed that the FBI was behind some of the editing, but later, his office retracted that putting the blame back on the CIA. Last week, James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, admitted that it was his office that did the editing.

President Obama, stop the defense cuts

China and the United States have a very unique relationship. The United States depends on China for China’s cheap labor and inexpensive products, and for loans, and China depends on the United States to keep their businesses producing goods. Both could not survive without each other, yet we are strategic enemies and are in an outstanding arms race. This arms race expanded today, as China revealed their new military capabilities: They have landed a fighter Jet on a carrier.
