Pew States The Obvious – The Media Campaigned for Obama

On election night, Chris Matthews said out loud what many liberals in the media were thinking…

I’m so glad we had that storm last week because I think the storm was one of those things. No, politically I should say. Not in terms of hurting people. The storm brought in possibilities for good politics.

What the storm brought was the ability of the media to laud the president for doing basically nothing other than looking presidential. There’s no proof that FEMA handled the Hurricane Sandy disaster any better than it handled the Hurricane Katrina disaster, yet the press lauded the president for his “leadership” and mocked Romney for his work to organize a disaster response from the public. I guess you have to be liberal before you get respect for being a community organizer.

Sanford Police Chief steps aside in Trayvon Martin Shooting Case

Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee is temporarily stepping aside from the Trayvon Martin shooting case. The controversial death of a 17-year old black teenager in Sanford, Florida on February 26 has become a national story in the past week. The shooter, George Zimmerman made 911 calls as he followed Martin through his gated community as a neighborhood watch ′captain′. The details of this case are still sketchy and has many holes, but what we do know has caused a firestorm over police procedures and the ′Stand Your Ground′ law which Florida, and some twenty other states, have on their books.

Santa Monica Atheist’s Attack on Christmas

While most of the folks of Santa Monica, California enjoy their local Christmas tradition, there is a tiny, but activist minority attempting to take away that 60-year Christmas tradition from the city by engaging in precisely the same sort of exclusionary tactics and discrimination that they claim Christians use against them. Yes, it’s a heartwarming tale of hypocrisy from California’s zealous atheists just in time for Christmas.

In a perfect example of how not to influence people and make friends, haters of Christians in Santa Monica led by their high priest Damon Vix — a Hollywood prop maker that is not a full-time Santa Monica resident — launched a campaign to squelch the displays of Christmas nativity scenes and replace them with atheist messages.

The City of Santa Monica has for nearly six decades allowed local churches and Synagogues to set up Christmas and holiday messages in Palisades Park, a public park sandwiched between Pacific Coast Highway and Ocean Avenue. It is a display that every year brings a large number of tourists and visitors to the city.

But for the atheists it is apparently an evil that must be eradicated.

OWS: Powerless Childishness Nearing Its End

Just before Thanksgiving several of the nation’s big city mayors began the process of ousting the Occupy-Whatevers from their squatting perches on public and private property. This week the evictions continue. So, with the so-called movement winding down (at least for this season), what was the result? Nothing but sound and fury signifying nothing.

The Old Media has been puffing up the empty OWSers as having brought serious attention to pay inequality, corporate greed, banking failures, and the evils of capitalism. But last week’s Black Friday shopping day seems to prove that no one was paying attention to the OWSers at all.

In fact, in many cities the OWSers tried to protest the monumental shopping day by sit-ins, protests, and attempting to cajole shoppers to go home and observe an organized “no shopping day.” But with sales at a new high, it is plain no one cared much for what the left-wing, communist-inspired OWSers were selling.

More Dem. New Tone: Of Obama Lies and Epithets At Tea Partiers

Yes it’s that vaunted new age of Obama, folks. You remember; the one where we were all going to walk into the sunset, hand-in-hand, being all nice to each other because politics had gotten “too divisive”? You know, that new tone that the Democrats insisted that the ascendancy of Obmaa meant for the country. Yeah, the one where Obama and his administration underlings simply lie outright about Republicans and where Democrat Congresscritters tell Tea Partiers that they can “go straight to hell.” Yeah… THAT new tone.

Let’s start with the always loquacious Maxine Waters. This queen of ignorance was pretending to act all bold and everything by saying she refused to be intimidated by the Tea Party movement. In her eloquent, lady-like manner she said, “This is a tough game. You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And as far as I’m concerned, the ‘tea party’ can go straight to hell.”

Potty mouth Waters, of course, is as disingenuous as ever. If her extremist, left-wing, anti-American values party hadn’t used its left-wing wrecking ball enough during Obama’s residency thus far it’s because of their own failure, not that of “The Tea Party.”

Michele Bachmann Is In!

Michele Bachmann, a representative from Minnesota, has finally thrown her hat in the ring. As of Monday, June 27, Bachmann made it official in front of a crowd in Waterloo, Iowa.

It is no mistake that she did so in Iowa, either, Bachmann has been polling quite well in Iowa coming in near the top of the heap along with long-time candidate Mitt Romney. Interestingly, neither Romney nor Bachmann have been campaigning too heavily in Iowa as of yet and Bachmann is a late comer to the race on top of that.

Outta Be A Law: New Hampshire Proposes Law to Allow US Flag Flying

In the United States of America it is illegal in some places to fly a U.S. flag. What, you ask? How is this possible, you cry? Well, it’s true… to an extent. Oh, there aren’t many city, county, state or federal statutes where this is codified in law, of course. But where this is happening all the time — and all over the country regardless of region — is in rules created by homeowner’s associations.

What happens is nosy, busybody condo or homeowner’s association chiefs write these idiotic rules where you can’t do this and you can’t do that on your own property. These sort of oppressive restrictions are common in homeowners association rules. One of the most common rules across the country in these fascist organizations is that you cannot fly a U.S. flag on your own property. As it happens, New Hampshire is trying to make this sort of rule illegal with HB 132.
