Sarah Palin: Nailin Palin Video

Another spoof video, only this time it won’t be Tina Fey. The original king of parody, Larry Flynt, is up to his old tricks as Hustler prepares to complete and release a porn video featuring a faux Sarah Palin played by Lisa Ann (see below). Rumor has it that a faux Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice will also appear in the video. This is where it gets really ugly (I kid, I joke). In the video, the spoof Palin seeks “friendlier? relations with Russians, and encounters a creationist professor.

TMZ released new details about the flick.

There is expected to be some outrage about this video. The question is, will we see this go to court? My guess is probably not. Been there, done that with Mr. Flynt. He may be sick, perverted, and numerous other things, but these types of things have been protected by the supreme court since the Jerry Falwell case. I don’t think this would fly in England though.

See video below.

Anti-Christian Bigotry at its Worst: Christopher Hitchens

If you haven’t heard of Christopher Hitchens, here is the Wikopedia posting: Christopher Hitchens

He is an editor for Slate magazine, among others. He is a former Brit to whom our government granted citizenship less than one month ago.

He posted the following comment:

The discovery of the carcass of Jerry Falwell on the floor of an obscure office in Virginia has almost zero significance, except perhaps for two categories of the species labeled “credulous idiot.”

Like many fanatical preachers, Falwell was especially disgusting in exuding an almost sexless personality while railing from dawn to dusk about the sex lives of others. His obsession with homosexuality was on a par with his lip-smacking evocations of hellfire.

It’s a shame that there is no hell for Falwell to go to, and it’s extraordinary that not even such a scandalous career is enough to shake our dumb addiction to the “faith-based.”

I assume it comes as no surprise that he is an atheist and recently published a book called “god Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything.” He also doesn’t like Mother Teresa (Link here.). My favorite quote: “…she tends to the dying, because if you were doing anything but dying she hasn’t really got much to offer.” Unless you are really brave and ready to be nauseated, don’t do the site any favor and link into it. If you are Catholic, force yourself to – you need to see the venom out there.

Oh to be fair, he doesn’t like Islamic terrorists either, but more because they believe in God.

Well, he and Hannity tangled tonite on Fox about the above quote. It seems Christopher views Falwell and other conservative Christians as bigots, but doesn’t recognize that he himself is an anti-Christian bigot. I guess it takes one to know one. My Christian beliefs forbids me from saying what I would really want to, so I’m not sure how my religion hurts him or anyone else. If we had a world of people like him, we would all be in the streets screaming at each other….

It is a pity that decency seems to have been lost in American debate. I have no problem with a healthy debate about Falwell’s organization and his contribution to politics. But wait until he is at least buried, and bury the venom with him.

I’m awaiting the anti-Christian crowd to show up now. In the words of our President: Bring ‘em on!”

Jerry Falwell Dead (Biography)

Moral Majority founder Jerry Falwell was rushed to the hospital today after he was found immobile in his office at Liberty University. He was prononced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

A vice-president of the university, Ron Godwin, said that Falwell was found around 10:45am. He was fine just a short time earlier. “I had breakfast with him, and he was fine at breakfast. He went to his office, I went to mine..” said Godwin.

Read the full story of Falwell’s passing.

Falwell was born in Lynchburg, Virginia to Helen and Carey Hezekiah Falwell. He had a fraternal twin brother, Gene Falwell. He was married to the former Macel Pate on April 12, 1958, and has two surviving sons (one, Jerry Jr., is a lawyer and the other, Jonathan, a pastor) and one daughter (Jeannie, who is a surgeon).

In 1995, Jerry Falwell began publishing the National Liberty Journal. Its articles include religious freedom cases, the LGBT rights movement, as well as examinations of the United States government. It also features articles on biblical prophecy, religious freedom, and Christian family issues.

In 1971 Falwell founded Liberty University, a fully accredited evangelical Christian Liberal Arts university, offering an assortment of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in over seventy programs, including Accounting, Pre-Med, Computer Science, Education, Law, Nursing, Psychology, and Religion.

Jerry Falwell also ran the PTL Club, PTL TV network and Heritage USA, taking over those organizations from Jim Bakker.

Biography altered from Wiki

Ankle Biting Pundits has respect for Jerry Falwell for standing on principles.

Nova Townhall respects Falwell’s devotion to social conservatism.

Ruth Gledhill at Times Onlinehas two Falwell and McCain videos worth watching.

Read Bob McCarty’s tribute to Falwell, and then read the comment he left on this post:

“No sooner than I had finished posting, I received a half-dozen comments — none of which will see the “light of day? on my blog — filled with bitterness and hate, thus proving there is a great gulf between those filled with the love of Jesus and those filled with themselves and the world.”

As I scan the blogs, I’m seeing these same hateful sentiments expressed on the blogs of a few liberals. I expected it from the usual suspects on the amoral left, but not to the vitriolic level that is out there. One of the problems with the pathetic liberal doctrine of moral relativism is it doesn’t allow for normal manners. We are seeing that today.

Jerry Falwell was clearly controversial at times and said many things I disagree with myself, but this is a day for remembering his historical relevance and the millions of souls he led. His contribution to mankind far, far outweighs the bruised egos of the few overly-sensitive liberals he left behind. He was a giant among men.
