Obama celebrates May Day 2013

It is May 1st, May Day 2013, a high-holy day for Socialists worldwide. So how will Barack Obama celebrate this holiday? Call for more taxes? Defend late-term abortions? Give more money to Islamic Fascists? Who can say? But last night, Dr. Michael Savage had a very interesting radio show on how we are still living in the shadows of the Vietnam War. How the current Establishment is now made up mostly of anti-war, pro-Communist supporters and radicals, including Barack Hussein Obama. Savage went down this road due to a new film documentary by Michael Jorgensen entitled ′Unclaimed′. It is the true story of a Green Beret, John Robertson, who was reportedly killed when his helicopter was shot down over Laos in 1968. But Robertson was captured alive and held in captivity for many years. Tortured and beaten, his body and mind broken, Robertson was essentially dumped in the jungle well after the war ended. A local Vietnamese woman found him and nursed him back to health and eventually married him. Now known as Hugh Tran, the 76-year old man has chosen to remain in Vietnam with his new family despite still having one here.

The Destruction of the American Economic Ecosystem

When you have a government that sees itself as the central institution of a society, or makes itself so, it’s not a good thing. When you have a government which believes it can tax and spend a nation to prosperity, it’s even worse. When you have a government with both these characteristics, it’s fair to say, things have become grim.

Fiscal Cliff Grows Nearer, Obama Wants Rich Scalps

With less than 25 days to go, the Fiscal Cliff of 2013 draws ever closer as Barack Obama continues his mad agenda of seeking the scalps of the rich. Or so he says. Forget for a moment what the fiscal cliff means to you and the rest of the average Americans. A failing economy, higher unemployment, higher taxes and arbitrary cuts to defense. Obama claims that he will not sign any bill that does not increase the tax rates on the wealthiest 2%. Last year, or even last month during the reelection campaign, Obama was content to just scalp the top 1%. But that would only add extra revenue for maybe 3 days of the federal budget. Going after the top 2% means funding a whole week of 7 days! But even this will not be enough, as Howard Dean admitted on Wednesday. He said that everyone′s taxes must be increased.

Obama’s Fiscal Gap

As Democrats so often like to remind Republicans, the election 0f 2012 is over and, basically, they won. In actuality, it was not the Republicans who lost, it was the Democrats who managed not to lose. At the same time, for the past four years, the American people have been losing under Democratic policies. What happens in the next four years will be largely decided in the next six months. Of most concern to us, as it should be to every American, is the vast “fiscal gap” which opened up in 2009 and remains today, virtually undiminished. It is that gap which could potentially swallow the entire country. It is that gap which makes the coming “Fiscal Cliff” look like a minor bump in the road.

Neat Things to Remember

Tonight, I will present a short list of some of my favorite, interesting political ironies, with a short analysis. After the political ironies, we will look at the Al Smith Dinner, one of my favorite parts of the campaign:

“The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever, to 46 million people. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.” Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.”

Fiscal Cliff Stalled as Pravda calls Obama a Communist

With just 37 days to go, talks on resolving the fiscal cliff stalled during the Thanksgiving holiday break. But in the past ten days, it has become very clear that while Republicans, like Sen. Lindsey Graham are prepared to compromise on some tax revenue increases, including raising the federal gasoline tax, Democrats have yet to budge an inch on any spending cuts, let alone entitlement reforms to Social Security and MediCare. Senate Democrat Dick Durbin offered very little during his appearances on the Sunday talk shows as the United States faces another political battle over the federal budget, taxes, and the debt ceiling. Meanwhile, the Russian news service, Pravda, had some harsh criticism for Barack Obama, saying that he was reelected to the White House by an ″illiterate society″ and called Obama a Communist!

Spain Suicides Increase Blamed on Evictions, Foreclosures

The recently dramatic Spain suicides caused by evictions and foreclosures have led to a new law preventing banks from acting on bad mortgages for at least two years. A woman named Amaia Egana, an active member of Spain′s Socialist Party, leaped from her 6th floor balcony when officials came to evict her and change the locks on her apartment. While she survived the fall, paramedics were unable to keep her alive as they sped her to a hospital. The economy in Spain is in horrendous condition after decades of Progressive policies. With a national unemployment rate of about 25%, and more than 400,000 already evicted from their homes and dwellings for failure to pay, the situation is dire and growing more desperate. Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has been working with the European Union seeking more bailout money. But now with the new law, The EU′s Court of Justice advocate general, Juliane Kokott, claims that the new anti-eviction law violates some of the EU′s consumer protection laws which Spain must comply with.

Treat Yourself

I recommend you take in those extra calories and eat a Twinkie, or three. And do so before all the stores sell out. The labor negotiations between Hostess, the maker of Twinkies and Ding Dong’s, and the unions have stalled, and the unions won’t budge. As a result of union pressure on companies to spend more money, all 18,000 employees of Hostess were laid off today with factory operations permanently suspended.
