On July 10th, the IRS held a press conference to formally apologize for elements and/or individuals within the organization who they now admit were specifically targeting conservative organizations during the 2012 election season for additional scrutiny. Any organization using the title “tea” or “patriot” was flagged for a review of their tax returns. Of the 300 organizations flagged for scrutiny in Cincinnati, 75 of them were conservative organizations identifying with the tea party movement.

But this is not the worst part of the problem. There’s good evidence that, across multiple states, conservative organizations were targeted by the IRS in numerous ways. From unusually long questionnaires demanding membership rosters and donor lists, to warning letters sent out to donors suggesting that their contributions to 501(c) groups could be retroactively taxed. And all this right as the 2012 election season began to heat up.

Could this be seen by some as an attempt to chill political speech? Of course. Even liberal NY Time opinion columnist Maureen Dowd agrees with this!

The Boston bombing suspect family say their children are being framed is just one of the Boston Marathon bombing conspiracy theories that have emerged this week. Anzor and Zubeidat Tsarnaeva are the father and mother of bombing suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. They are not alone as Alex Jones and his pals at Prison-Planet/Info-Wars are also knee-deep in the frame-up theory. One of their ′citizen journalists′ made quite a spectacle of himself at the police press conferences Monday and Wednesday raising the issue of the Boston bombings being ′False Flag′ operations. Of course, my personal favorite conspiracy theory is one that I am starting about how Columbia University in New York City has already offered Dzhokhar Tsarnaev a job teaching International Studies if he ever gets out of prison.

In the midst of an azure sky sprinkled with cinnamon, sugar, and Obama “hopeium;” It would greatly seem that Obamaland; that city on a shining hill that can never be defeated… That prosperous utopian nirvana where there are always enough jobs, money, and exorcist-like grins from Nancy Pelosi… That wonderful paradise where everyone and their momma get to “shirk their duties” and go on expensive vacations and golf outings… is in fact FAILING miserably.

Florida Atlantic University has issued a Jesus stomping apology to Ryan Rotela, the student who refused to stomp on the name of Jesus Christ. Governor Rick Scott has ordered an investigation into the matter which was started by Professor Deandre Poole, who is also the Vice Chair for the Democrat Party in West Palm Beach. Prof. Poole teaches a course in Intercultural Communications at FAU′s Boca Raton campus. The exercise was from a textbook, ″Intercultural Communications: A Contextual Approach, 5th Edition″, which had students write the name of Jesus on a piece of paper, then place it on the ground and stomp on it with your feet. Somehow, this act is suppose to encourage discourse and add knowledge. All it really demonstrates is how fouled up our education system is!

Some might argue that Jim Carrey has always been a tad crazy. That, after all, is an element of his genius.

But, really, what in the world is he thinking with this latest attack on the majority of Americans? For the past week or so he’s been in the news because of statements and tweets made regarding “heartless gun owners.” A recent tweet even stated that “[Anyone] who would run out to buy an assault rifle after the Newtown massacre has very little left in their body or soul worth protecting.”

Perhaps Carrey is advocating violence against gun owners? Who knows!

But Carrey is a guy who built his career from nothing, making it in Hollywood with raw talent, having had nothing handed to him. In doing so, he built up a base of very loyal fans all over the country. Which is why it’s ironic that, the very same people whom he now mocks and derides, are the ones who helped make him the star he is today. And Carrey’s new video, Cold Dead Hand, could mean the death of his career.

During his radio program yesterday, Rush Limbaugh said, ″Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country.″ This set off a firestorm, resulting in Rush′s website to be crashed from all of the ′hits′ and page views. Of course, his remarks were taken somewhat out of context, as usual, by the Liberal Media. Rush was basically venting his frustration that, once again, Obama and the Democrats are winning the argument concerning the upcoming sequestration spending cuts, mainly by telling bold-faced lies. He has seen them use scare tactics for decades. Scaring seniors that Republicans will throw them over a cliff. Or scaring parents that their children will starve or their schools will be closed. Scaring citizens that police and firemen will not be around to prevent anarchy. It just goes on and on…

Barack Obama is busy this week scaring America over the upcoming sequestration spending cuts due to begin in just 8 days if a deal with Congress cannot be negotiated. The Pentagon is already warning that some 800,000 jobs may be furloughed or lost as a result. Naturally, the White House is blaming Republicans, even though the whole idea behind sequestration came from Obama. Many pundits wonder why Obama still has good approval numbers in the polls while the same polls show two-thirds or more of Americans oppose his policies? I believe that the nation is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Obama is holding the country hostage, using children, ′first responders′, senior citizens and others as human shields But since he gives his hostages free cell phones, food stamps and other goodies, the oppressed still like their captor.
