Gender Gap Gone, Romnesia or Obamaroids?

The latest polling data shows that the gender gap between women supporting Barack Obama and Mitt Romney is all but gone. Months and hundreds of millions of dollars worth of attack ads against Romney, attempting to paint him as a mean, rich man out to deny women abortions and contraceptives are now all for naught. His debate performances have been enough to persuade women voters that Mitt Romney is a nice guy who cares about them. So have voters developed Romnesia, coined by Obama referring to Mitt′s many policy position changes? Or is America suffering from Obamaroids, coined by the Great One, Mark Levin, referring to the pain in the butt Obama has been to our nation for the last 4 years?

Sandra Fluke Appearance at Obama Rally Attracts 10 Person Throng

Earlier this year, a Georgetown coed, Sandra Fluke, attracted a lot of media attention when Republicans did not permit her to speak before a House committee on the urgent need for Obamacare to cover the costs of contraception. She then found a group of Democratic House members who were willing to listen to her inspiring tale of how onerous the cost of purchasing their own contraceptive devices could be for health insurance recipients. Later, she became a cause celebre when Rush Limbaugh cast aspersions upon her sexual experiences.

Morning After Pills Passed Out in NYC High Schools

New York City high schools have begun a program offering the morning after pill, which provides emergency contraception to students who have had unprotected sex within the previous 72 hours. This joins the other types of birth control that are available in the NYC schools: condoms and birth control pills. These pills are passed out by school nurses in an effort to reduce the pregnancy rate among high school girls in the Big Apple.

Vatican Crackdown on American Nuns

The Vatican will crackdown on American nuns for being too Liberal. Pope Benedict XVI is not happy about a U.S. nun organization, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. Seems that they may be too open minded about subjects like homosexuality, abortion and euthanasia. The Roman Catholic faith in the United States is the largest single religious domination, with roughly one-quarter of the population as members. The LCWR claims it has some 1,500 members, a small fraction of the more than 55,000 nuns in America. The nun crackdown is being assigned to Archbishop Peter Sartain according to the Vatican report. This comes just as Bishop Daniel Jenky of Peoria, IL, compared Barack Obama to Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin.

Obama Care Costs Spiral Up, $1 Abortion Surcharge

According to the latest calculations from the Congressional Budget Office, those non-partisan accountants of the CBO, the projected costs to the National Debt of the first ten years of Obama Care will be around $1.7 Trillion dollars, not the $900 Billion the White House said. This is bad news for Barack Obama, as the CBO has also upgraded the budget deficit for this year to $1.2 Trillion dollars. Even that number may be low considering how America set a new record for a one-month federal budget of over $260 Billion just in February. Meanwhile, the Department of Health and Human Services has made it official that there will be a $1 surcharge on all individual mandated health insurance policies to provide coverage for abortions as part of Obama Care. It just never ends, does it?

Santorum rejects JFK ‘Absolute’ separation between Church and State

GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Sunday said that the 1960 speech by John F Kennedy about the need for an ″absolute″ separation between Church and State makes him want to ″throw up.″ The JFK speech was made at a time when many voters were concerned that as a Catholic, Kennedy would consult regularly with the Vatican on issues. Santorum, who is also a Catholic, disagrees with JFK. Appearing on the ABC News Sunday talk show, ′This Week′, Santorum argues that it violates the First Amendment for the ″free exercise of religion.″ So once again, Rick Santorum is focusing on non-economic issues as his poll numbers sink.

Obama’s War on Religion Causing States to Scramble

Apparently Obama’s war on religion is sending states scrambling to their state houses in order to head off this imperial president’s anti-Constitutional power grab. Ohio recently began seeking a religious freedom resolution and now Kansas is racing to put its religious liberty ideals into law. Others are sure to follow as Obama and his irreligious Democrat Party establishment are showing no signs of backing off the attack on Americans of religious convictions.

In fact, it is a pretty disgusting example of how anti-American that Democrats have become because at this point it is becoming a party-line vote neatly everywhere with Republicans coming out in favor of the American first principle of religious freedom while Democrats come out for oppressive, big government control over our personal beliefs and showing their desire to force religions to observe the liberal religion instead of their own consciences.

First Left-Wing Talking-Point Against Santorum: He’s ‘Big Government’

On his nationally syndicated radio talk show today, Rush Limbaugh noted that the left has launched its first major attack on Rick Santorum as a result of his close second place finish at the Iowa Caucuses. The new talking point against Rick Santorum is that he’s not as conservative as people think, that he’s a “big government” Republican.

So, is he? Is Rick Santorum a big government Republican. Sort of. But not really. You see, Santorum’s focus is in assuring the integrity of the traditional, nuclear family and he’s not averse to using government to secure those ends. He most certainly is not a Republican that leans toward a libertarian interpretation of what government should do — i.e. operate in a hands-off policy.

James Pethokoukis makes some great points on this subject and outlays some of the arguments that Santorum makes and what they mean for conservatism.
