Democrats Worried About Another Lost Seat Due To Murtha’s Death

It’s all about Obama. Everything. Life and death. As Beth posted earlier Congressman Jack Murtha died yesterday due to complications from gall bladder surgery and the politico’s wasted no time in sizing up how Murtha’s death would affect the President and the democrats. In essence, the democrats are worried about another lost seat due to Murtha’s death; they’re worried about another special election that will take place before the November midterms.

Jack Murtha held the 12 Congressional seat since 1974, and dems are worried about the special election that will take place in May. They haven’t fared to well thus far in special elections; losing gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey, and of course the biggie, the Senate race in Massachusetts which was long held by Ted Kennedy.

Miss Me Yet Billboard: Bush Sign Taunts Obama

Here is the George Bush “Miss Me Yet” billboard that is causing an internet sensation. See the picture here, learn who made it, and tell us if your Barack Obama hangover is enough to wish the last president back into office.

Miss Me Yet Billboard

The huge sign has been shrouded in mystery for weeks but Right Pundits can reveal that the creator is a group of local business interests who are tired of Obama policies emanating from Washington DC. It stands proudly near the town of Wyoming, Minnesota along the Interstate 35 freeway.

Temperance, the Origins of Progressivism

While I hate to dispute Glenn Beck, it is important to understand the origins of the Progressive movement. Especially, if we want to defeat them! The very first Progressive in American history was probably Dr. Benjamin Rush, a Founding Father. You’ll find his signature just above Ben Franklin’s on the Declaration of Independence. NOW President Terry O’Neill’s Last Word

Yes, TimTebow and his mother, Pam, made an ad for Focus on the Family that aired during Super Bowl 44. The NOW (National Organization of Women) President, Terry O’Neill, was fit to be tied weeks before this heinous and hateful ad even aired. Along with other such “female rights’ groups”, she made some interesting comments:

Take a comment recently made by National Organization for Women (NOW) President Terry O’Neil upon learning that CBS will run a commercial during the Super Bowl paid for by Focus on the Family about Heisman winner Tim Tebow’s mother’s decision to oppose her doctor’s recommendation to abort Tim for medical reasons.

Terry said she had respect for the private choices made by women such as Pam Tebow but condemned the planned ad as “extraordinarily offensive and demeaning.” She went on:

“That’s not being respectful of other people’s lives,” O’Neill said. “It is offensive to hold one way out as being a superior way over everybody else’s.”

Please keep in mind that she hadn’t even seen the ad at this point. This was her knee-jerk, emotional reaction for the press. We simply cannot let those awful pro-Lifers and their oppressive, archaic ideals be allowed to be seen by several million viewers. This did not stop her, however, from having NOW post this onto the NOW website. It is an amusing read.

That Hopey Changey Thing

Many of you ask me direct questions, particularly the angry readers, when making a comment on my posts. I want to answer them – I read them all – but I find writing a response post is easier, otherwise I’d be warding off attacks all day long.

There is so much to say about the Palin phenomenon. I wrote one post to defend her crib notes and all the sudden I’m a Palin lover and want her to be president. I never said any such thing. You can defend someone without supporting him or her for public office. The truth is, I don’t know how I would feel if Palin ran for president; that’s a long time away. In the meantime, if you go to my main blog – No Bull Mom – and type “Sarah Palin” in the Search box, you’ll find out what I think of her thus far. Two of the titles are “What’s Wrong with Sarah Palin” and “Sarah Palin Is Refreshing – though Unpolished.”

Rep. John Murtha Dies After Surgery Complications

Rep. John Murtha died after surgery complications on Monday, February 9, 2010. Murtha was hospitalized in December. He was released from the hospital and went back to work. He was back in the hospital, in intensive care, on January 31, 2010 after developing complications from gall bladder surgery. He was hospitalized at National Naval Medical Center, in Bethesda, Maryland. Apparently, his large intestine was damaged during the surgery, leading to infection and ultimately to his death.

John Murtha has been serving the 12th District of Pennsylvania in the United States Congress since 1974 making him one of the longest serving Congressmen in the House of Representatives. He was the first Vietnam War combat veteran to be elected to the Congress. His career was riddled with controversy and scandal, including the Abscam scandal and investigation in 1980. He was frequently suspected of pay-to-play politics and one of Congresses ‘Kings of Pork’ for requesting tens of millions of dollars in earmarks.

Iran Threatening A ‘Punch’ on Feb. 11

If a known violent or caustic individual gives me a forewarning to expect a punch on a certain day, I either a) avoid them the entire day, b) tell my Mommy or c) punch first.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme leader not known for his warm nature, addressed their military today with a thrill up his leg about an approaching attack on the West.

“The Iranian nation, with its unity and God’s grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned,” Khamenei, who is also Iran’s commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel.

One thing we can be sure of - they don’t have God’s grace. They also don’t have unity, with the anti-government opposition against the June re-election of Ahmadinejad still planning protests and demonstrations. It continues despite several thousand protesters arrested, some given hard prison sentences, and two hung.

Public opinion and sanity will not sway this government. They’re on a mission from God, you forget, to develop enriched uranium and bring about the Apocalypse.
